  1. Hello, although I have not had my surgery yet for lap band I can tell you that I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured removed last year and they did laproscopically with only three incisions - for almost a month I couldn't sleep on my stomach or even side, I guess I would call the Dr. (as I am not one and see what they say. Good luck to you!
  2. I think being nervous is completely normal and I have no doubt I will feel the same way when I get my date. Good luck to you and rejoice - you are going to be fine!

  7. Are there any Vermonters out there any more? I would love to find someone to talk to in my area, or quite frankly anyone in any area is fine with me
  8. I had my upper gi done this morning at 930 and then had my pysch eval at noon, everything went fine and the pyschologist said I am more than fine for this procedure and that we can move on. I am excited to see what the results are for my upper gi test on the 31st, hopefully all should go well and then we need to wait and see how the insurance does for me. Wish me luck folks!
  9. Hello all, I had my first consult with Dr. Forgione in Vermont yesterday and since I had today off anyways they were able to schedule my upper Gi test and my phsych eval as well! Talk about luck! My upper gi is scheduled for 9:30 this morning and the eval is at noon today as well. I have my next appointment with Dr. on the 31st of this month, I can't believe I got so lucky with my appointments as I know they are usually all booked up. Let's hope all goes smoothly throughout and the insurance cooperates. Barbara:biggrin:

  12. I think that sometimes people are negative in their opinions of any type of weight loss surgery, it is just a gut reaction for many. However, some times people just don't know how to embrace this decision you have made, either from their own fears or insecurities. I say - you only live once, life is not a dress rehearsal - get out there and dance! Do what you need to do for you and the rest will fall into place - good luck to you!!!
  13. Hello I am new to this board, but have been checking out many posts when I can. I have my first appointment with my surgeon Dr. Forgione here in Vermont as well as the nutritionist on the 17th of January - I am very excited and look forward to meeting all of you online
