I am having a hard time getting in calories and Protein as well so I omitted Breakfast and just have a Premier Protein. It takes me about 90 minutes to finish it. If anyone there has Trader Joe's they have some fantastic Soups that are completely puréed and you don't even need to strain them. I bought a corn chowder that was fantastic it comes in a box and also a Tomato roasted red pepper.

I am a endocrinology nurse and am a certified diabetic educator. I work in a medical group now but it is part of the hospital system I am having the surgery at. I used to work in the operating room with my surgeon assisting in the bypass surgery. This was before the sleeve procedure was introduced.

I tried Quest chips first a few weeks after surgery. Pricey but widely available, and they melt to soft mush by the time you swallow. Medifast and kays make pretty good cheese ball and pretzel things. Order on line mostly for those. Check Pinterest for high Protein pretzel recipes.

This is just what I needed. My surgery is Monday and I am so afraid of failure. This is so inspiring. Thank you all. I have lost 22 pounds so far and my dream weight would be for me to loose another 105 pounds

Either way... don't compare you with others. We all loose at our own rate. We learn from each other and gain insight but we are not all going to be the same.
You be proud of you... forget him. ????

I know how you feel panic and depression. The doctor told me to stop weighting myself and I have to have my husband hide the scale. Only weight once a week and no more.

I'm 10 lbs way from losing 100lbs and I am six months out. Surgery weight was 307 my height 5'9" and I currently weigh 217lbs so I think definitely you can loss 100lbs but give your body time and follow nutritionist instructions.

I had surgery in July 2015 and I couldn't be more happy with my results. Especially since I remember thinking that I would never be able to get the weight off because just felt like such a high number. I thought my doctor was crazy with the goal of 150 that he set for me but as you can see I am basically there. Good luck to you!

Hi All, I just got back from my post op and had my staples removed. What a relief! I was hoping I could move to soft foods like some of you are but my doctor said definitely no. I'm still on phase 2 until 2/21. They were very adamant about not having anything with "lumps, bumps or clumps". I told them that had watered down mashed potatoes last night and they said that was a phase 3 food and that my stomach isn't ready for that texture yet, that pieces of the potatoes even fine can get stuck in your staples causing an infection or absess. It's crazy how so many doctors are different.
I'm usally able to get down about (2)1-cup shakes in a day along with about a cup of creamed Soup or broth. Good luck to all! I envy those of you who can have real food this next week

Yes! You are recovering and your body surely hasn't adjusted yet. When it does, you'll know.
Also, Water is huge. You need water to flush out everything that is being broken down - all the fatty cells. It's hard to take it in but you have to. I've resorted to drinking warm, almost hot water just to make sure I get my fluids because it goes down better!
Hang in there! You got this!!!!

That's so funny! I bought Campbell's chicken noodle and cooked a whole can, completely drained the broth and had that yesterday. My sweet 16 month old daughter ate most of the noodles, carrots and pieces of chicken. She loved it lol!!! That was the best broth/soup ever!!!! On another note - I am SO over these sickly sweet protein drinks! I am a sweet tooth usually but this is too much! I can't wait for Monday!! I have such great plans for next week involving eggs, Greek yogurt, thick blended soups with chicken! Omg! Grocery shopping on Sunday!

@@arenea I made Pina Colada popsicles with the Carribean Cooler Protein. I bought silicone popsicle molds off of Amazon. They came out pretty good. My non-wls friend even liked them and I think I calculated 5g protein per pop.

Sorry about that when I had my cSection I walked in the hospital at 310 and walked out at 310 because of all the fluids. 4 days later I was 296. That Water is no joke - it will come off though. I got lucky this time... Hope you get to feeling better soon!

My doc said to focus on getting the 64oz of Fluid because hydration is most important. It's easier to do it with clear fluids. I think that biologically our bodies can handle more, but since hydration is always a concern, he said to make that the focus. I'm drinking, but I'm still feeling thirsty af.

It's so hard for me to get all of my fluids. I have definitely been trying, but it's super difficult.
