  6. Who's your doctor and how much does he charge? Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App Shillingford. $10,500 He has a flawless reputation. I've been happy with him as well.

  11. Hang in there! The thought definitely crossed my mind. I'm a single parent. And when the hospital called me with preop questions, I had to give my religion and stuff and I was like, what?? But I guess it's just protocol. I live in Boca, so maybe we can be workout buddies or something when you're able to start working out again. The surgery is definitely worth it, but it does have it's trials and tribulations. Anyone that thinks that this surgery is the easy way out is dreaming.

  15. I've been at a stall for 4 days
  16. A proton pump inhibitor is a medicine that stops your body from producing as much acid, my surgeon put me on a mandatory two month course after surgery, then said if I had any issues with acid after to go to my doctor and get it re-prescribed. Because it reduces the amount you produce (rather than just help with what you have) I haven't had any trouble with acid. (note: that's just me, people react differently. Even with the PPI you may have an issue).Yeah, I have to take esomeprazole for 6 months. It's to reduce the stomach acids and decrease your chance of getting stomach ulcers. Ok. I was prescribed Pepcid AC. I think that's the same thing. I actually recently discovered some cavities in my teeth at the gumline and the dentist said that they were from acid reflux. How crazy is that?!
  17. @@Amelie2016 What's a proton pump inhibitor? I wasn't given one of those?

  24. @@martytx07 I've lost 28 total. 17 of that since surgery. I struggle with fluids for sure, but agree that there's been a day or two where I felt like I could eat a lot. The surgery is just a tool...we still have to decide what we eat...and I wish my body would just automatically reject all the bad stuff and like all the good stuff, but it's not necessarily working out like that. The days where I feel I "pushed it" I follow with a day of mostly liquids. It seems to bring that restrictive feeling back. Congrats on your weightloss! This is just the beginning of much more!
  25. It's our 1 month surgeversary!!! Happy Surgeversary!
  26. @@prettyCali916 I've only gotten to 64 a few times. It IS hard! Last night I was forcing down 1/2 bottle water at 11:30pm to make my goal. I made it, though! I use an app called "Water Drink Reminder" I track my water through it and it makes a water sound every so often to remind me to drink.
