    Any south Florida sleevers?

Hang in there! The thought definitely crossed my mind. I'm a single parent. And when the hospital called me with preop questions, I had to give my religion and stuff and I was like, what?? But I guess it's just protocol. I live in Boca, so maybe we can be workout buddies or something when you're able to start working out again. The surgery is definitely worth it, but it does have it's trials and tribulations. Anyone that thinks that this surgery is the easy way out is dreaming.
  7. It gets better. I weighed in 2 lbs heavier today. Seriously? Wtf
  8. I've been at a stall for 4 days
  9. A proton pump inhibitor is a medicine that stops your body from producing as much acid, my surgeon put me on a mandatory two month course after surgery, then said if I had any issues with acid after to go to my doctor and get it re-prescribed. Because it reduces the amount you produce (rather than just help with what you have) I haven't had any trouble with acid. (note: that's just me, people react differently. Even with the PPI you may have an issue).Yeah, I have to take esomeprazole for 6 months. It's to reduce the stomach acids and decrease your chance of getting stomach ulcers. Ok. I was prescribed Pepcid AC. I think that's the same thing. I actually recently discovered some cavities in my teeth at the gumline and the dentist said that they were from acid reflux. How crazy is that?!
  10. @@Amelie2016 What's a proton pump inhibitor? I wasn't given one of those?
  11. I jist started with heartburn about a week ago. Anyone else? I take pepcid twice a day...although I forget sometimes. Is the heartburn normal?
  12. @@martytx07 I've lost 28 total. 17 of that since surgery. I struggle with fluids for sure, but agree that there's been a day or two where I felt like I could eat a lot. The surgery is just a tool...we still have to decide what we eat...and I wish my body would just automatically reject all the bad stuff and like all the good stuff, but it's not necessarily working out like that. The days where I feel I "pushed it" I follow with a day of mostly liquids. It seems to bring that restrictive feeling back. Congrats on your weightloss! This is just the beginning of much more!
  13. It's our 1 month surgeversary!!! Happy Surgeversary!
  14. @@prettyCali916 I've only gotten to 64 a few times. It IS hard! Last night I was forcing down 1/2 bottle water at 11:30pm to make my goal. I made it, though! I use an app called "Water Drink Reminder" I track my water through it and it makes a water sound every so often to remind me to drink.
  15. I wasn't tracking because I wasn't really eating much of anything, but I'll load that into my fitness pal to see what the calories were. I started to finally hit my water goals. I dont know why that day I was so hungry because now today has been totally different.
  16. @@prettyCali916 It was food, food. I had 1/4c broth with a dumpling & 1/4 egg. I had a protein pack thing that has a few bites of cheese & meat & nuts. I had 1/4 tomato broth protein w/powder. And 1/4c clam chowder broth with a a piece of shrimp. That's not huge quantities at once, but as whole I think it's a ton. My energy has been so low and yesterday I gave myself a B12 shot and was SO HUNGRY. Today so far I've had 3/4 off a poached egg and 3/4 a piece of cheese and 1/2 of an Isopure. It's a lot, right??
  17. I have eaten so much today and I have no idea how I was able to? Shouldn't I be puking my guts by now? I've had no energy. Took a B-12 shot today. Hopefully that helps.
  18. Finally getting the hang of the fluids, but the protein...meh...not so much. Baby steps.
  19. I miss food and nice meals. And my family is asking me constantly why I did this and kinda trying to make me feel bad that I'm missing out. Dumbasses... On the upswing, getting close to my 64oz of fluids daily. progress, not perfection
  20. Soft foods? I am "allowed" but that doesn't mean that I can. ???????? Just focusing on getting in all the liquids & and a few bites of things here and there and then my tummy HATES me....and not being successful at hitting 64oz. BUT, Each day is a new day...sick of saying that to myself, but...what ev, keep trying.

    Question on Unjury

The liquid temperature has to be under 140 degrees for unjury to blend. Learned that the hard way myself ☹️
  22. All dairy, with the exception of an occasional bite of cheese, makes my stomach cringe right now. It's such a horribly gross feeling
  23. @@arenea I made Pina Colada popsicles with the Carribean Cooler protein. I bought silicone popsicle molds off of amazon. They came out pretty good. My non-wls friend even liked them and I think I calculated 5g protein per pop.
  24. @@arenea Same here. Keep failing the water & protein goals. Keep starting over again the next day. This is HARD
