Trust me not every one will agree. You made your decision for better health and happiness. We don't have to explain. It's your life and your health.

You are doing it for you, not for anyone else remember that first and foremost.
It isn't easy especially since weightless surgery is not a guarantee and you have to change everything for the rest of your life!
How you eat, when you eat, where you eat, how many Vitamins you take, making sure you're getting enough Protein.
It's better to look at it as a tool to your continued success at weightloss vs "the easy way out."
You will probably encounter this a lot, you just have to say it's your personal journey and how you decide to do it is up to you. You never have to explain your reasons for anything you do especially to a coworker. Good luck and I wish you all the best with your upcoming surgery!

    Isurca,
    It's just some pre-surgery jitters.
I have a little exercise that will help you get in control and relax tomorrow. After they hook up your IV, they'll be in several times before they take you to surgery to check your vitals.
When the nurse comes in to check you BP, (blood pressure) I want you to concentrate deeply in your mind on the most relaxing place you can think of.......like a hammock on the beach with a nice breeze blowing and the sound of the waves as you sway back and forth with your eyes closed......feel yourself relaxing and breathing slowly while you enjoy those deep thoughts. Take yourself there in your mind. You will feel you BP going down and your heartrate slowing. - The game is to see low you can make your BP by controlling your ability to relax. By doing so, you will find you have the control over your nerves. And once you are able to relax, you will feel so much better.
I know you can do it. You're gonna be just fine.

You are only a few days out. You just had major surgery. Forget that it was even on your stomach. ANY kind of surgery will leave you feeling weak. fruit is last thing you need... you have a couple of weeks, depending on your doctor's plan, before you have regular food. Your brain is being whiny, and that's the worst struggle.
Hang in there, because it will get better... then worse (with the brain cravings)... then better again.
It's a constant struggle... right now, just sip on your Water and Protein drinks, and find something to take your mind off of the food.< /p>
And allow yourself time to get all of the anesthesia out of your system, because even that takes a long time. You'll start to feel better before you know it, promise!
Just remember to drink! Getting dehydrated will just make it all worse.

Hell yeah I cheated. I paid dearly but I needed the sensation of freaking CHEWING..CRUNCHING. I even licked some lime chips then chewed them and spit em out. It was very satisfying and pathetic lol. I have no shame and I don't judge what u do to get through this. I have a sense of humor and I am not perfect nor am I Miss Self discipline. If I wer I wouldn't have gotten this sleeve

Seems to me like you want others to talk about it so you feel better about what you did.. But me having something off plan PRE op is a whole lot different than you trying to rip your stomach open by eating chicken breast n salad when it hasn't healed yet and you're still on liquids.. Thats your choice it would scare me Munky

During my two week pre-op diet (1,000 calorie low fat), I had to attend a wedding. I gave it up that night. I had two drinks (vodka and club), three shrimp from the shrimp cocktail platter during cocktail hour, half of my filet mignon and some of the fancy potatoes and two mini canoli from the dessert table. (This was on Friday, my surgery was on Tuesday). If I it weren't the wedding of a dear friend's son, I wouldn't have splurged (or even gone, but we had RSVP'd before I got my surgery date). But everything was fine. We are human. We are going to slip up. We just need to get right back on track.

I just wanted to come on and say that I feel incredibly blessed to have such a great support system throughout this process. Tomorrow I start my medical leave and get sleeved early tomorrow morning. I've been on a 2 week liquid diet and my colleagues decided to have a surprise Protein shake lunch with me! I feel extremely blessed and wish this kind of support for WLS was shown everywhere!
