  13. I know it is very hard to wait! Keep the follow up calls going. I started my Journey Jan 2007,went through the six month diet, the paper work and all the other things insurance wanted me to do. I expected to get my band July-Sept 2007. Seems I was a big paper work shuffle! It was a YEAR later Jan. 2008 but I FINALLY got my band! Good-Luck to you! ~Laurinda~
  14. nbkight hello! I too am in Jacksonville! How very cool! I know the waiting can be very hard! I started this journey Jan 2007 and had to do a six month diet per insurance and all the other lovely stuff they wanted me to do. I was expecting to get my band anywhere from July-Sept. 06 <cough> somehow I got lost in the system blah blah blah paper work and I was put off til Jan 2008. Hang in there! It was a year in the waiting but I am so glad I didn't give up! ~Laurinda~
  15. Chrisann <pretty name> did you find yourself tired alot? I am having a hard time with that. It's like I do something small and need a break! I am glad I am going back to work half days the first two!!
  16. Bless your heart, hot and feeling the effects of surgery! How long do you have to be on the liquid diet? I have been on mushy like food since yesterday, not that I have eaten much but the calories sure did make me feel better! I sure hope you can sleep tonight! For me I spent a few nights in a recliner and that helped! Good -Luck to you! ~Laurinda~
  17. I have four incisions, I was told I would have five so I was surprised when I woke up and there were only four!
  18. I have seen the Special K water, do they come in packets also or just pre-bottled? Bariatic advantage sounds intetesting too! TY As for being hungry Monica, I am sure it is the protein that helps with that but I have yet to be hungry since having my band on. I am sure it's coming
  19. I have found something very, very tasty and I have not seen it anywhere here on the board. Please don't get me wrong,it may be mentioned here, I just haven't seen it. "South Beach Living on the go" It's the little packets you add to water to flavor em. I really like these best because they are made to go in a 16.9 bottle, not 20 ( I buy water by the case and it always seems to be 16.9) It has an awesome taste (I am drinking Strawberry/Banana right now) and it has protein (this flavor has 3 gm) granted it's not a ton but it's a bonus when ya gotta get your water in daily! ~L~
  20. If you are looking for anti-nausea try Emitrol. It is over the counter and you can always get a store brand. It is a liquid and come in yummy flavors like cherry and lemon.(Ok I was only kidding when I said yummy, mind over matter!) I am sure this too is sugar based but if it helps ya not to be sick and hurt your band....just walk a little more when you feel better! ~L~
  21. NO REGRETS!! Mind you I have only had the band on since Jan. 16th BUT I am down 21 pounds (including the pre diet) and I have a much better motivation since I have some lost already! I was very scared and almost canceled up to the day I had the surgery for TONS of different reasons.I have read some bad on the board also but I guess that in normal. I have read SOOOOO much more good and these stories are just incredible! I feel like for the first time in my life I have a chance! That is an AWESOME feeling! ~Peace~ L
  22. This just keeps me so focused! I can't wait til I can post the same! How fun clothes shopping must be now! Keep up the GREAT work!!! ~L~
  23. AWESOME <thumbs up> How very exciting!!!
  24. Good morning all! I just stopped by this here 40's forum to say howdy and see how we are all doing? It is COLD here <north Florida> and kinda a hang in the house kinda day. I am feeling pretty dang good this morning (Got my band on the 16th) and I am so ready to start back to work tomorrow, I am kinda bored. I think I will move onto the food portion of this board and look for new and exciting things I can put in a blender! Last night I made black bean soup and it was VERY good! I made that and corn bread for my family and I blended some for me. It was perfect for the cool weather! Whatever ya'll do today remember to have a little fun! ~Peace~ Laurinda
