  1. Yes I wish I knew that it wasn't going to be incredibly difficult. Once I made the mental commitment the rest was a piece of cake. I should have done this years ago
  2. How absolutely easy this was going to be......I wished I'd done this years ago. Seriously. I have zero complaints about anything related to the sleeve surgery.......liquid diet and all. Everything has been straightforward and within my ability to handle.
  3. 2 days post op you should not be eating anything
  4. This is true, i read it on the internets
  5. If you cheat then you stop and get back on track. But you need to think about why you are cheating. Also the closer you get to Your surgery date the more imortant it is to stick to your diet. Post op you will have to completely stick to the liquid diet or you could damage your sleeve
  6. I would come prepared with whatever questions you have. Do some research on tje different surgery options so you can discuss wich one would be right for you At my fist consultation we talked about my weight loss struggles and the different surgical options that were available
  7. Everyone looses at different rates and stalls are normal. I am 10 months post op and still loosing weight
  8. It takes time. Your body is healing and that itself takes a lot of energy. Once you heal more and get some more calories you will feel better
  9. It depends on your insurance But in my opinion, and people are going to disagree, but I would not havr surgery at 200lbs...200lbs is my GOAL weight
  10. I can find something just about anywhere. Most places will have a salad but sometimes I just get an appetizer. My favorite places are sushi places. I get sashimi alacarte.
  11. Haven't had the single incision one but there was really very little pain with the regular way. If it was me I would ask the surgeon ehich method they would rather do regardless of the cost
  12. I notice I don't have the hungry feeling anymore. Kinda odd.Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App You shouldn't feel the physical hunger. Head hunger isna different story. My surgeon explained to me that the part of the stomach that is removed contains the part that sends the hunger hormone. After 10 months I have never physically felt hungry
  13. The tiny sips were very hard. For me it was a month before I took a couple of gulps. I don't know if I could before but I was scared.
  14. Just take it one step at a time. Write out a list of what you need to do and what to buy and cross them off as you do it. You will see it's not that overwhelming. Don't worry about getting the wrong things. As time goes by you will figure out what you like and what works for you. You can do it
  15. I just look forward to the day i can look in the mirror and not hate what i see. I just want to be happy with me And crossing my legs
  16. For a few months post op most likely not. After that maybe. But to be frank with you, it seems like this is a bad state of mind if you are having weight loss surgery. You should not be thinking about eating the same size portion as before
  17. I would love a site for singles who have had bariatric surgery. I think it would make some things easier. I know there are two sites but I checked then out and there are very few people on them.
  18. If your surgery was done correctly then the part of your stomach that stretches is removed so it can't stretch. Some people might think theirs has stretched because they discover that they eat more than they used to. This is usually because it takes a while for the internal swelling to go down. For a few months post op you are swollen inside so you have extra restriction. Then it goes doen and you can eat a little more. But it didn't stretch, that's just the size it should be
  19. I am 9 months post op and going through a dicorce. We would have been married for 10 years in September. After having surgery and loosing weight I gained some self confidence and my eyes were suddenly open to how emotionally abusive he was and to all the classic warning signs that he was cheating.
  20. You are not going to get everything in right away. Most people can't. Just get in what you can without pushing yourself. As you heal and your swelling goes down it will get easier You are not going to get everything in right away. Most people can't. Just get in what you can without pushing yourself. 21. You don't need much. A book or something to entertain yourself, phone and charger, comfy clothes for the ride home and a pillow to press against your tummy for the ride home. The hospital should provide everything else
