June 17, 201610 yr For me it was around week 2...week 1 was harder than week 2 and now i have no issues taking decent gulps of water... i am 7 weeks out.
June 17, 201610 yr The tiny sips were very hard. For me it was a month before I took a couple of gulps. I don't know if I could before but I was scared.

Your stomach is much smaller, so you have to give it time. Imagine having a small hole and trying to get something much larger, than that hole, to fit. June 23, 201610 yr It took me about 2 months to be able to really gulp poweraid zero and about 3 months to gulp Water. I felt the same way...I thought I would never be able to drink normal again but it does get better. However, I still need my water to be ice cold. If it is luke warm, it makes my tummy hurt. Stay with it!
June 23, 201610 yr Hi everyone. I got out from the OR at 3pm with an unbearable pain in my shoulders [emoji15]. The surgery took 3 hours because the Dr. Found a hernia on top of my stomach. So he had to deal with it too. I walked at 5 pm. And now I feel so much better. [emoji4]
June 23, 201610 yr The temp of the water really mattered for me. Ice water was like swallowing daggers. Warm to room temp water wasn't an issue
