  1. Same as everyone else. It didn't feel lighter but sore and a little different. When I was able to drink it was definitely a different feeling than anything like I had ever experienced before.
  2. Great job!! Every week gets easier to workout! You will be surprised at how mich more you can do in such little time.
  3. I am 5.5 weeks post op and am down about 52 lbs. went from a size 26 to 20-22. Also went from getting winded on a half mile walk to putting 5 to 7 miles a day! I feel so much better!! My mind is always wondering about where I will be in 5 more weeks and beyond!!!

  10. Hi. I had surgery with @@Dr. Altamirano on 12/7/15. He and the whole whole staff wonderful! Can't say enough good things about my experience. He did a great job. I was up walking within a few hours. Since preop I am down 50 lbs. The only bad was my husband got kidney stones while in Mexico. They are great at Bariatric surgery but didn't do a good job with that. He had to cross the border to San Diego to get good care. My husband had his surgery 2 1/2 weeks before me. We decided we wouldn't do it together so we could take care of one another. But I will say if you both have it the same day with Dr. A, there is always someone taking care of you. Whether it be the Florence hospital staff or the BariatricPal Mexico staff. They take wonderful care of you!!!
  11. Awesome!! I was a size 26. Now about a 20-22 after losing 50 pounds. I have a pair of 18 Tommy Hillfiger jeans hanging in my closet calling to me. I can't wait to get in those. It will be my first time since high school also!! Keep up the good work!!!!!
  12. We both need to work on water! I have downloaded an app. Maybe that will help.
  13. I sm 5 weeks out and only average between 400 & 600 calories a day. I was told that as long as I am getting my protein in and choosing healthy options then that is okay. I think after a year they want me between 1,000 & 1,200.
  14. You are doing great! Just think if you averaged 5 lbs a week!!! You'd be at your goal weight in no time! Be proud of yourself!!!
  15. 8.4 lb loss for this week!!! So happy with that!!! Starting weight for this challenge 269.0 Today's weight 260.6!!!
  16. Just curious what other's are experiencing for stomach capacity with their newly sleeved stomach; after two weeks I really have no problem knocking back an 11 oz Protein shake, ditto for broth etc. My biggest problem is remembering to drink Water during the day at work, I rarely do though I am trying to drink a couple bottles a day while working. I really have no problem drinking...just remembering and making myself do it. I didn't have any problem drinking protein drinks or broth. But can only eat a half of cup or less of real food. It has been very restrictive which is good. Down about 43 pounds in 5 weeks. ???? I do have trouble drinking water because I stay so full for so long after eating and don't feel like drinking up to two hours after eating sometimes.
  17. Only 3.25 hours this week. Busy week at work. Hopefully I will make up for it this week. Thanks.
  18. You realize that you really do have Chin, nose and knee bones! Who knew?!?!?!
  19. Constipation is the worst!! Over a month out and still having issues! Good luck everyone!!!!
  20. I was told never to use a straw because of the extra air it puts in your belly. I will tell you that it gets easier everyday. I am one month post-op today. I still don't get in my recommended 64 ozs of water but I think it's getting closer everyday. Yes, walking is the best thing for gas. At least it was for me. Walk but don't forget to rest. Your body needs that rest to heal. Keep us posted!!
  21. Everything is going to be great! My one month post op is tomorrow so we are close. But I am down over 40 lbs already!! It is the best decision I've ever made!!!
