  1. I had a 6 hour long procedure on my ear in July this year that was out patient I have to have scar tissue removed from that same ear next week Tuesday which will also be out patient
  2. @@Runner1 congratulations on surgery tomorrow keep us posted on how your doing
  3. @@VLeigh I'm not brand new to this process but slightly new I have my second of 6 nutritional appointments next week the day after an unrelated surgery. And I've lost 8 pounds so far from my highest weight. Just by cutting out soda and cooking at home 1 meal a day. I would love to chat with you one on one since our surgery's are so close
  4. When I had surgery on my left ear my wedding ring would not come off they said if it was an issue they would have to cut it off. I just had it cut off at pt first last week due to an up comming surgery also the ring was causing problems and my finger was infected
  5. I will be almost 25 when I have the gastric sleeve so I'm looking forward to the latter half of my 20s to be better then the early 20s
  6. I got weighed at my pcps office and the scale said 280 I was so happy I know its high but I'm down 8 pounds in 8 weeks
  7. Yay but remember different scales at different places will say different things
  8. I use a nutra ninja and blend with ice stays cold for a while
  9. I'm on the 6 months diet required by insurance and with my Dr upping my dose of metformin and following the nuts plan I've lost 8 pounds in 7 weeks
  10. I went and got a degree in massage therapy and because of my weight and health issues I can't do anything with it Right now. I would love to get use out of my 13000 education and I will once I lose the weight and do more pt for my back
  11. I hate shopping not as a fat person but as a short person I've never had an issue finding clothes I like for my fatness just my height why do they assume all fat people are tall. Although shout out to target they have a pants size called short fits perfectly but no pockets lol
  12. I need some advice in this arena I've had a few great aunts and a few aunts get cancer one of which was breast cancer and my father's sister had uterin cancer I'm 24 what would be a good age to start mammograms
  13. Call and ask if they have a bariatric coridinator
  14. The tests my Surgeon requires is a chest X-ray a ekg and full blood work and a psych visit that's it
  15. I have uhc care mark and my requirements were 6 month controlled diet meet with psychiatrist and to be insured with them for a year hopefully you won't need the last bit
  16. My nut gave me a list of like 12 different powders its so bizzar that your nuts oly gave you one option
  17. I'm gonna have to try quest bars I have a gnc membership so its cheaper for me to get them
  18. I love love love my nut she is fabulous she is so knowledgeable and personable
  19. I love Crystal light drink it every day all day
  20. I'm still pre-op but my diet is mostly meat veggies and dairy. Some starches if I've eaten all my protein for the day
  21. My nut also said the shots aren't complet protein and not to use them
  22. I'm still pre-op but I'm learning to love new foods I just cooked some fresh tilapia and put old bay butter and lemon and it was tasty
  23. I really like Jillian Michaels she's a great person
