  2. @@TobysMom i am going through ummc and i am using dr mark kligman and the staff is amazing and the nutrtionist mary schultz is the best i highly recommend them.
  3. wow all those going to a foreign country alone are so brave i dont think i could do it. im having mine state side and my hubby is coming to the hospital with me and taking me home and hopfully coming to visit
  4. congrats to all the future mommies on this post i am hoping to have a baby as well which is my main motivation for this surgery just hoping not so soon after the surgery

  6. well usually from what ive seen on these boards stalls happen when your body needs more or less of something like more calories less exercise

  8. awesome its so nice to have family in your corner. i totally get working at the family business and when i have my surgery i know they will want me to take off as much as i need but honestly ill just have to take it day by day because my pattern seams to be feel fine 3-4 days after surgery then i feel wiped out until the healing is finished
  9. i am hoping when i get to the liquid phase that my hubby can fend for himself usually i am the one that cooks unless he has a hankering for his sausages or turkey burgers but i know he cant live on those for 8 weeks
  10. i use the GNC brand of whey Protein for powdered and the EAS protein for ready to drink the EAS you can get on amazon
  11. i don't have kids to think of but i do have a hubby and well these past two years with my obesity ive been diagnosed with sleep apnea diabetes high blood pressure and my thyroid is out of wack as well i am jumping through all the hoops because i think at the rate im going i will be dead at thirty
  12. I'm not getting the band but I am a stress eater and honestly that's not gonna go away with surgery only therapy and some soul searching. Maybe you could journal or crochet or do some adult coloring books
  13. I use a cpap with a mask that just attaches to my nose its called the pico
  14. I don't feel like I've been ignored but I do feel like people look at me different now that I am almost 300 pounds
  15. My feeling is this I'm not shouting it from the roof tops but I'm not ashamed of my decision either I will tell my family after I've had the surgery and lost the majority of the weight
  16. I found a real good relationship on geek to geek. Most of the site particapitces are men. Some have that creep factor but most are nice
  17. I'm 24 and I'm getting the sleeve done and my Surgeon is happy I'm doing something about my weight before I'm on insulin for my diabetes
  18. Remember that this isn't a diet as much as its a life style change and maybe just get back to basics start logging your food start aiming for 10000 steps a day get protein first then veggies then whole grains if you have room

  20. I'm sorry this is happening to you I hate dealing with Aetna I work in a psychiatrist office and every time we deal with them I want to kill the person on the other end I always get the run around
  21. I'm not close to my pre-op yet but for my last meal it will be unlimited sushi

  24. I use the canned beans because I usually make this in the morning before rushing off to work and canned is just faster. I have used dried beans and for that only use 1 pound of the rehydrated beans
  25. @@winklie the recipie I use for high protein low carb chili is 1 pound ground turkey 1 can of kidney beans one can black beans one can pinto beans 5 tomatoes diced and some McCormick chili powder all in the crock pot on high for 6 hours
