I'm so happy that its working for others too!! It's hard mentally to increase calories but it makes the pounds shed

    Dreaded Stall

I hope it helps too!! Please keep me informed! Literally I've been eating today every 2 hours too - small things of course but hey if it helps I'll do it - she said it helps speed up our metabolism

To Tell or Not To Tell?

I've told people that ask - I'm not telling total strangers but close friends/family of course - I think you should have a support systems. I do know some people who haven't told anyone - personally I have loved having the support of my friends/family - some of them haven't been supportive but that is there problem - I am proud of myself for having the strength to not live for food any longer - to say I want to be healthy - i want to feel better - I have tried everything and nothing worked - I am happy and have had no regrets of having it done - that is my personal thoughts though -

    Dreaded Stall

Well I hit the most dreadful stall - the 3 -4 week stall - I was stuck and so annoyed!! I was at 211 for 9 days - I spoke with a friend of mine who had the surgery years ago and she told me to eat more - I looked at her like she was nuts...I was like what?? She said eat every 2 hours - trust me it will help you!! I can honestly say I felt like the biggest pig yesterday - I was eating every 2 hours - and felt horrible because I want to lose weight and it brought back memories prior to surgery....well this morning - I woke up and the scale said 209! I was shocked!!! She she said we stall because we aren't eating enough and if we eat more then the stalls won't be as bad!! I was 239 pre-op and today I'm 209 - October 2 will be my 1 month post op - So I'm super thrilled - just thought I would share it with everyone who is experiencing the dreadful stalls that are super annoying

    Constipation....

I don't know if you are post op or not but I don't think popcorn is on the list I was extremely constipated on week 3 when I started soft foods - I take Miralax every other day and the day it was bad I was in so much pain I took milk of magenisa - it worked within 30 minutes. Good Luck!!

    discomfort/soreness at my diaphragm

No not any longer - I was meeting the max requirement last week so i stopped doing it - I'm not out of breath thought - I took my protonix about an hour ago and it's actually improving now - I guess it was indigestion? Because it's feeling better now thank goodness
  7. I was sleeved on 9/2 - I haven't had any issues at all - except this morning when I woke up and took a deep breath I was super sore at my diaphragm - center (lower area between my breast) - it doesn't hurt - but when I take a deep breath it's sore - I walked a lot yesterday and I'm wondering if I over did it - When I sit straight up I feel a tightness - sorta like a sore tight muscle? Should I call my doctor? I go see him tomorrow for my 2 week follow up - I did have indigestion last night - maybe that is the cause? I took my protonix this morning just in case. Anyone else experience this?

    Bad breath

OMG! Mine is awful! I feel terrible about it too - I was sleeved on 9/2 and it's just not getting better - My husband and my kids say it smells like poop! I hope it doesn't last too much longer!

Haven't had a felling of fullness

So glad to hear this - I was sleeved on 9/2 and haven't really felt the total fullness - but I belch a lot - I am so hoping that goes away soon!

2 week pre-op anxiety, wondering if I should cancel!

I am 6 days post op and I can say I honestly would do it again! I have had no pain no nausea - I've even questioned did I really have the surgery? I know I did due to all the incisions on my stomach. My recovery has been great - the key is walk walk walk and sip sip sip - My husband took me to all my favorite stores after my surgery - It was too hot to walk outside so he had me in stores walking and I truly believe that helped me the most! Your life is going to change for the best - yes you are going to have to give up things just as you would if you were on a diet - I know in time I will be able to have a bite of something I'm craving - and not consume an entire plate - It's a tool - you have to listwen to your body - I have to listen to my tummy everytime I sip and when I have Jello - It's a new lifestyle. I was not heavy my doctor expects me to loose 70-90 pounds and yes I could of probably have done it alone - but I'm 37 and wanted a tool to assist me and I have no regrets!

    And so it begins...

You will do great! I actually felt better during my preop diet phase - It is more of a head game because you aren't eating like you want - think of it like when you go on a diet you want everything in site! Keep your eye on the prize - Good Luck on you Journey!

    Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!

My surgery went great! I stayed 1 night in the hospital and was in no pain! I had no nausea/pain - my surgery was at 2:30 - I was in my room by 4:30 and up walking by 7pm - I was honestly surprised! I had no issues - so far so good!! I'm home now on a clear liquid diet until Wednesday - then I go on full liquids which I'm super excited about it! The only thing I have noticed is I get tired easily - but I sip, walk, rest, and repeat! It's helped to have my husband home with me this week as well - My kiddos have also made sure I had everything I need!

    Help im craving tomato soup

I AM SO CRAVING TOMATO SOUP TOO! I had my surgery on 9/2 and I have a clear liquid diet til Wednesday - and I am so excited about having some tomato soup
  14. Jennifer Cunningham

    Please don't judge

I was sleeved on 9/2 - I smoked my last cigarette right before I walked in to the hospital - 6 days post op I'm doing great and I haven't smoked since! I made the decision the last cigarette I would have would be before my surgery because I was having this surgery to get healthy - ALL AROUND Healthy - it's actually been easy - being on pain meds as reduced my cravings for a cigarettes - plus I'm learning how to drink slow and make new habits so it's actually been easier than I could ever imagine!
  15. Well tomorrow is the big day! My surgery is scheduled at 2pm - I have to be there at noon - I was hoping for an earlier surgery time so I didn't have to deal with NOTHING to drink all morning long! Today has been full of nerves and a little frustration due to not being able to eat anything - liquids only! I know this is the best decision I'll make - but that doesn't help my mind freak out - I'm kinda expecting the worse and hoping for the best!!
