  1. I was just getting ready to start a thread when I saw this one. I got my fill on Monday and since then everytime I eat I burp like crazy....no PB just regular burp. I feel gas pains in my chest and a little lower but still in the middle all time. My tummy growls constantly like I am hungry, but I'm not. I am on liquid and mushies again...nothing is stuck....besides the gas I feel great!! What is up.....???? Is that what y'all feel?????
  2. Hi, I am such a fraidy cat!! I am worry about everything!!! I emailed my surgeon and asked about slippage because of all the talk about it here on the board. His response was that cronic vomitting causes it. My question is....If I have felt nothing stick, have not vomitted, pbed, etc. do I have anything to worry about?
  3. Okay...I believe my port is on the left side (inch or inch & 1/2 from the middle) below my ribs. Where is the band? I know it is around my stomach at the top, but where is it from the outside of my body? Is it in the middle of my chest...a little down....between my breasts??
  4. Hi...I was just getting ready to start a thread about this. I am 4 weeks post-op and have felt GREAT! The port pain was gone until this morning. I work up and it was sore again. Is this normal?
  5. Hi.... I am exactly three weeks post-op. I have a question that I need a FAST answer to. I heard the rule with the mushie phase is anything you would give to a 6 month to 1 year child. Does that include saltines? I was hoping...YES! You know, it turns to almost nothing when you put it in your mouth! Thoughts?????
  6. Hi y'all, I will be off a mushies in a week....wooo hoooo!! I was just curious what y'all ate the first time you could eat real food??? I am looking foward to your answers.
  7. My trainer friend put it in a protien shake for me. I have not tired it by itself...scares me...!
  8. Great Question....I can't wait to hear the answers.....
  9. Hi Big As Life, I apprecaite your encouragement...and that is exactly what I was looking for. I guess I mis-spoke in my first post in this thread....I know I should not be loosing a lot....I know that I am being silly....I just hate feeling alone and just wanted to know that I wasn't. I wan't to know if anyone else felt the same way. I have been doing everything to a T...not straying at all (with the exception of one glass of wine at a party that my surgeon approved). By some of the other posts from folks I felt lilke a heal for even being sad! So again...thank you for your kind words and understanding....I apprecaite you!!!
  10. Hi y'all.... Okay, my weightloss problem has always been immediate gratification. Typically I loose weight pretty fast and easily, however, when I plateau...I begin to binge, which gets me right back where I started. I decided on lapband...because there will be no binging! Here is my frustration. I was banded 1/4....lost, lost, lost...I was so excited. Now for the last 4 or 5 days...nothing! I am stuck at 14 pounds. I know this is normal...and I should be excited for the 14 lbs, but my immediate gratification problem...is making me sad and frustrated. I made a thread a while back about "Your First Month Weightloss" to try to get a feel for what other have gone through, but not many replied to that thread. So I am now pleading....help me!! Thanks in advance.....y'all are all wonderful!!
  11. Well...last night was the party and I drank one glass of red wine. It took me the entire time. It tasted awesome!!! I felt fine during and after.
  12. Hi y'all!! I was watching the news this morning and there was a story on Home | WeightView.com - Seeing is Believing It is a website where you can download your "before" or "current" picture and tell them how much weight you want to lose. They will alter your picture, to show you what you will look like when you get to that weight. I went on line and it is easy and looks fun....but most importantly it is FREE. I haven't done it yet, as I need a better picture but as soon as I do I will post the outcome. What a great way to help motivate! Anyway....just wanted to pass it along!!
  13. Me too Me too Me too Me too!!! I love them...I feel so much better.....Way better stage than liquids!!
  14. Okay guys....two questions!! 1. How does everyone do with Flour Tortillas???? 2. Does anyone know about Almond Milk....I know it sounds weird, but my friend who has just recieved her "personal trainer" certification swears by it. She mixes it in her morning protien shake everyday and loves it. She brought me over some today and made me a shake with my shake stuff, the almond chocolate milk, and frozen cherries.....OMG....it was great it tasted like choclate covered cherries...!! I just wanted to know if anyone else has tried this type of milk and your thoughts!!
  15. Hi.... I am having difficulty and I wanted to see if any of you are expereincing the same thing.....I am 11 days post-op so still have 19 more days of mushies food! I am bored!!! It seems that everything revolves around food. My family says "Do you want to go to the movies?" Nope...popcorn! "Dave and Busters to play games?" Nope....drinks (which I miss tons). "Sports bar to watch the Cowboys....(loose...waaaaaa)?" Nope....too many temptations there. "Out to lunch or dinner?" You get my drift! I feel like I am stuck at home. I am not sure I can stand it for 19 more days....I am going CRAZY!!!!! Any suggestions??
