@@tiffanyt
Congrats on the 100+ pounds.
Can I ask if you've tried amping up your workouts?
If you think you're doing ok with your nutrition and Water intake I would suggest really upping the intensity of your exercise. Your body (or metabolism) is not the same as it was 100 or even 50 pounds ago, so you have to push even harder to get it working.
Just a thought. Good luck

Jane I had my band in 2008 and lost some weight but had a ton of "issues". I was very sensitive to adjustments and was spending a lot of time in and out if the doctors office. I didn't have complications per say. I had several years where I did nothing with the band and started gaining all my weight back. When I returned to see my surgeon last year (because of heartburn) I decided to convert to the sleeve. BEST Decision I have ever made!!!

Congratulations, it sounds like you have been doing great. When you say you are reaching your Protein target most days, that might be someplace where you can do some adjusting. Why not do what you can to reach it every day? For me, it is better to go over by a little bit than to not get in enough.
Since you are exercising regularly, you may even need some extra carbs and fats. Have you talked to your NUT lately about your challenges and goals?
Your NUT would be much better able to advise you based on your own specific needs.

@@tiffanyt I am pre-op but it seems that you need to meet or exceed your Protein goals every day - especially if you're working out. Congrats on your incredible success!

My only advice is to stick to it. I had a 3 month long stall starting around 10 months post op. I really thought I was done losing weight. Just like you, I was still losing sizes, but not pounds. But it started again and I lost another 40 pounds rather quickly. Your body fights change, you just have to fight back! Your weight loss will slow, but as long as you do what you are supposed to do it will still happen. Stay positive, eat right, keep up the hard work. You have got this!

tiffanyt reacted to *Lexie* in What's your "weight loss pet peeve?"
Love this topic!
My pet peeve is my family wanting to go to restaurants that I have no use for anymore. I got a promotion a few months back and my husband wanted to Celebrate by going to Cheesecake Factory. That really wasn't a celebration for me, I would rather have a new outfit. And every dish at that place is huge, there was nothing I could order.
The other thing is choosing between eating and drinking. Sometimes when we go out, I want something tasty to drink like a flavored ice tea. But if I get that, I can't eat and vice versa. For me it's not just about following the rules, I literally get sick if I eat and drink at the same time. (probably for the best)

Hi @@tiffanyt I have not even met with my surgeon yet. But I wanted to ask, if you don't mind, you said you went from band to sleeve. Why? My family is suggesting band, but I think I may be better suited for sleeve. Was you not getting the results you needed? Or a complication?... And OMG! 100 lbs is amazing!!!! Keep up the great work. I'm sure the scale will catch up soon. Wish I had advice for you

I have been off the site for awhile, but need some advise. I am just over a year from my band to sleeve surgery. I have lost over 100 pounds but have been stalled out for the last 3 months. I am excercising minimum of 5 days a week, drinking all my Water, and most days meeting my Protein requirements. I was able to start jigging in February and doing yoga this past month. I have decided to take a few days exercise respite here before school starts for my kiddos and get back to it on Monday. I know my body is changing, I can see it in the mirror and in my clothes, but man, I want the scale to show it. Words of wisdom? Hints / tips!! Thanks!!!

Today was the first day, since before surgery 70 days ago, that I walked a little route in my neighborhood. I have been working out daily in the pool. Anyway, there is a moderate sized hill that prior to surgery and almost 50 pounds heavier, I would need to stop two or three times to catch my breath. Today, I made it the whole way with out stopping!!!! And my heart rate was in the perfect range! I was so excited. Woohoo!!

tiffanyt reacted to Inner Surfer Girl in How to count calories
By the way, you aren't counting calories, you are tracking your food to record the nutritional content, especially the macros: Protein, carbs, and fats. Calories are secondary, at least that is what my plan entails.

My daughter came into my bedroom looking for me this morning. She didn't see me in the bathroom because "your butt doesn't stick way out anymore!". Love it!
