  1. Y'all are making me look bad haha. I am behind, but I am heading to the store tonight though to finish stocking up for my post-op and I will be buying him some easy to fix stuff while I am gone since I will be away from the house for 5 days.
  2. I am headed to the store to finish up shopping for my post-op. My poor husband has just had to fend for himself haha
  3. I live on the outskirts of east Houston. I am a self-pay sleever and am traveling to Dr. Alvarez in Piedra Negras.
  4. @@shellyd67 I didn't do hot on just liquids. My doctor allows veggies and I relied a little too heavily on those last week. My in laws took us all out for dinner to Texas Roadhouse and they do not have Soups :-( I got the veggie plate with green Beans, sautéed mushrooms and a sweet potato (which I felt super guilty about). This week I am doing much better. I am looking to keep it strictly liquids all week.
  5. ONE WEEK TO GO!!! Are y'all ready?!?!!!
  6. I have just reached the "1 week to go" mark and I am starting to feel soooooo nervous. I am scared that there will be complications, I am scared that I won't achieve the results that I want, and on and on. I got upset with myself a lot this weekend, telling myself, "If you would have just dieted like you have now then I wouldn't need this surgery" and then having to remind myself that I have never been able to stick with it before and have blown every diet attempt and weight loss I've ever had. It's very nerve-wracking but like @@ladyfrann said, I always have to replace every negative thought with a positive one and it gets me through.
  7. Praying!!! I know how difficult it has been for me but I feel proud that when I have "cheated" it has only been with a salad. After the first 2-3 days it does get easier.
  8. @@shellyd67 I haven't had that speech just yet with my husband, I guess because I don't really want to think about all that. About a month ago, when he gave in to the fact that he will not be able to be there, he gave me loooooong hug and with tears in his eyes told me to make sure I come back. When I think about that moment I am not sure how to bring myself to have that conversation with him.
  9. Woohoo, that was the final decision making point for me to have the surgery as well. My husband and I have tried for over a year with no success. We are looking forward to trying again in another year and for it be a much healthier pregnancy. I hope you have success as well!
  10. @@ylluz Yep, one week to go for us! I too had a bit of cold feet over this weekend, but I just reminded myself of everything that I am looking forward to that I will be able to achieve sooner, rather than later, with this surgery. You got this!!!
  11. Me too. And I'm with y'all on the boob sweat and sweating in general. I also want to bike...I've always wanted to. I told my husband that's what I want for Christmas. Gives me a little time to build the self confidence to bike out in the open :-)
  12. Being able to wipe without contorting my body or breaking the toilet seat.<--------- Ummmmm Yeah....THAT! Sad as it may be....yes!
  13. I was at Dollar Tree and ended up buying little baby Tupperware that look like turtles. Also came with a baby spoon. Meh, it'll work for now.
  14. Everything is going well, just getting super anxious to have it done.
  15. Or what Master's Degree can you achieve without learning the proper use of language and grammar? And what kind of Christian-like person goes on a rude and insulting rampage because of the phrase, and the proper use of the phrase I might add, "I beg your pardon?"
  16. Flat soda?? Yuck! Better to just get rid of it altogether!
  17. Seeing results finally is making me feel much better about this pre-op diet and has re-energized me to push through it!
  18. Maybe she is nervous, but greedy is a harsh word. I would have a deep conversation about why this is not about being greedy, but this is about utilizing what is available and becoming a healthier person and thus extending your life. I hope things get easier. I went through a similar situation with my husband for several months and within the last month he has become one of my biggest supporters, so there is hope **hugs**
  19. @@theatrejo I go in on the 17th, you? And good luck to you as well! EDIT: I now see your surgery date in your signature lol
  20. We are getting so close @@ylluz , nerves are only natural. We can and we will make it
  21. I weighed this morning for the first time since starting the pre-op diet and am down 10 lbs. so far. 11 more days until I reach the other side!
  22. I am adding to my running list that I want to be able to take a picture without cocking my head or body at just the right angle to make myself seem thinner than I am.
  23. Woohoo!!! And only 10 days left of this miserable pre-op diet hahahaha.
