  1. I am also having the same issue with a 30 minute lunch, and a job that doesn't allow food at your desk
  2. I had my surgery last Monday and went back to work this Monday with no issues. Everyone is different though. I honestly think that getting up and out of the house has done me good in my recovery. I have not had any pain or fatigue.
  3. I went back to work this week after 1 week post-op. I have been fine throughout the week. No real fatigue or brain fog. It feels good to be out of the house and moving around. I really feel that has aided me in my recovery.
  4. I am a tummy sleeper and I was sleeping on my tummy at 5 days out with no discomfort.
  5. Uh, yes! Liquid goes through. When you eat something with just a little weight to it, you will be shocked! So true!!! I can drink and drink, but this week I started adding creamy Soups to my diet. Twice now I have had broccoli cheddar Soup and after about 4 small "bites" I am DONE!
  6. 1 month since pre-op diet started, 9 days post-op and I've already been able to put my wedding ring back on without having to oil up my finger. It is now sliding off and on with ease! This morning's NSV was slipping on a pair of size 24 pants (not struggling with buttons or zipper), down from a 28!!!
  7. @@Mini_me007 Yeah let me know! Thanks!
  8. Just a facial side by side for right now. I am 8 days post-op and 1 month from the start of my pre-op diet. Just hit 30lbs down and am definitely starting to notice it! I will get a full lenth side by side at a month post-op.
  9. @@ylluz I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you get to feeling better soon!
  10. I am averaging between 40-50 protein a day...it's not easy 2 weeks out :-( Still feeling well though.
  11. Sorry to hear that @@Margie122 Hope you are feeling better. Today has been day 2 back to work and today is the first day where other than having to sip, I actually forget about the surgery for a little while. No real pain or constant reminder today. Things seem to be moving along pretty well. As of this morning, down 30 lbs from the time of my pre-op diet to this point. 14 lbs down since surgery 8 days ago!
  12. Last night I had about 2oz of broccoli cheddar soup and I was definitely feeling it!
  13. Hit my 1st little goal I set for myself. I am 1 week post-op and was finally able to slide my wedding ring back on my finger without having to oil it up and cut off circulation. WOOHOO!!! I think my husband teared up a bit.
  14. I started on yogurt today. Kroger has a brand called Carbmaster which is pretty decent tasting. Out of about a 6 oz cup I've only been able to down about 2 oz. Still, feels good to be able to add a little of variety to my diet. So far it has sat pretty well in my sleeve. I also get to add creamy soups and have nice broccoli cheddar soup waiting at home I can try tonight. I had to take the stairs a few times at work today and that also has not been too bad. So far a decent day.
  15. I also second theworldaccordingtoeggface blog! I have a bunch of ideas saved from there. She also has some great ideas on how to pack a lunch for work. Also, PINTEREST!
  16. Work is going pretty good so far. I wanted to take a nap right around lunch time. I had a lot to catch up on but I might sneak in a nap for lunch tomorrow haha. Oh, and SNEEZING. SO. NOT. COMFORTABLE.
  17. I was sleeved a week ago in Piedras Negras, Mexico by Dr. Guillermo Alvarez. I could not praise him and his staff enough. They were all super and very accommodating to myself and my guest.
  18. I am Housing Caseworker at a crisis center for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
  19. Glad I found this. I will be going to a Japanese restaurant for a friend's welcome home party at the end of my 3rd week. I've been pondering what exactly I could try as I know I will be tired of Soup. I was thinking tuna or salmon may be the way to go.
  20. @@shellyd67 I feel your pain. Even with brushing and rinsing I still have this nasty taste in my mouth since surgery and feel my breath is just kickin'. My surgeon unfortunately said gum needs to wait about a month. His reasoning was that a lot of air is taken in when chewing that can lead to gas pressure.
  21. I am 7 days out today and it is my first morning here back at work. I have an office job with minimal physical duty so I feel confident I should be fine. I think if you have a similar job situation you will be fine with only a week off of work. I felt rejuvenated about 4 days post surgery and have been fine since then.
  22. Back to work for me today as well. Not looking forward to it. Not to mention didn't sleep well last night to top it all off. Good luck everyone today!
  23. I keep getting a lot of gas pressure built up on my liquids. Really didn't feel that I was drinking too much or too fast :-/
  24. @@Mini_me007 I know it was for the best just hit me out of nowhere last night. Couldn't believe I cried about that. Oh, and yes...sugar free popsicles are amazing!!!
  25. Lol, glad I'm not the only one. When I saw that yesterday I was freaking out a bit like uhhhh why am I bleeding?! But now I see it's pretty normal. Also, today I realized the psychological effects of having this are no joke. I've been spending the day with my parents, grandfather, and baby sister. I'm tired of being stuck at home by myself with my husband working and it's actually been a really lovely day. Well my little sister was getting ready to be taken to a lock-in at church and my mom was being a little secretive talking to my stepdad. Come to find out they are going to a nice dinner, at a place I love...with no real soup options unfortunately, after dropping her off and were not going to invite me because of the surgery. I understand it wasn't to be rude, they just assumed I wouldn't want to go, but I just started bawling. Like what?! There's no need for me to go with and be miserable looking at all the delicious food, but dragging my butt back to the solitude of my home just sucked :-(
