  1. Hi all, I have not posted here forever. Glad to hear everyone is doing well. It has been a rough month or so here, could not get over the hump and was just wanting to lose something but kept fluctuating between a couple pounds up and a couple of pounds down. I have now hit the 100 pounds down and hopefully since I met this goal it will be just the right motivation for me to get my rump up and keep moving!!! Keep up the good work!!
  2. Thanks!! Decided I needed more than just the treadmill to give me the extra boost!! I am still the biggest in there but don't really care, LOL! I know why I am there and am determined to stick with it. You have done awesome as well!!! Can't wait until I see the ones!!!!
  3. Today 40 minutes of step aerobics and 20 minutes, abs/arms workout. :smile2:
  4. First class of 60 minutes step aerobics, legs were mush!!! Finally got myself out of the treadmill routine though YIPPEEE!!
  5. Thanks all for the replies. I just have not been able to bring myself to the gym yet. We don't have one in the town I live in. I also think I am AFRAID of the stares and snickers. I do walk at home on my treadmill and use my DVDs. I am just going to have to bite the bullet and walk in that door!!!!
  6. Hi all, I am down almost 70 pounds and have really started to notice my arm flab and my thighs. Any exercises or videos anyone can recommend to help me out with these two "problem" areas or suggestions would be most appreciated!! Couldn't hurt to get some pointers on the tummy area as well. Has anyone tried the Biggest Loser DVDs? I do have a treadmill and walk as much as I can on this. Thanks all!! Hope
  7. Hi all, Has anyone joined Curves and if so how is it working for you? Thanks!!!!
  8. Chrisann-Just think of it this way, you haven't seen these guys since college so it was to be expected that they would say how great you looked even at a time like this. Don't beat yourself up about it, I would have felt just as good as you. As for my 6 month reflection I am SO truly happy I did this, granted I have just hit my 50 pounds down mark but now I have a new goal to start!!!! I truly need to exercise MORE than I do now and need to find the MOTIVATION!!! Congrats to everyone and our victories so far!!!!!
  9. My NSV is being able to walk around for hours with no back pain and enjoying time with my boys outside running around.
  10. I was the same way, took off Friday, 01/25/08 (band day), and went back to work on 01/28/08. I had mostly gas pains the first couple of weeks and now an occasional gas pain here and there but doing good with it as well. It will get better for you!! Good luck to all of us!!!
  11. I had my second fill last Tuesday and am having the worst time trying to keep food down, some days it is okay and others have been worse. I get the feeling of my food being "stuck" after 2 bites and have to vomit to make it better. Please give some insight as to whether I need an unfill or if it is just tight secondary to being so soon after having the fill. Thanks.
  12. I was banded on 01/25/08 and had my first fill today, 4 weeks later. I am only down 11 pounds. My doctor and nurses all told me not to expect much before the first fill as you only have the band on and nothing in it yet. Don't get discouraged. You are doing great!!
  13. Hi, I was banded on 01/25/08, I had my first fill today just 4 weeks later. I had a seroma which is a pocket of fluid over my port and they drained it and then gave me my fill. I was NO big deal, just a little stick and they ask you to drink just to make sure you aren't too restricted. Relax and all will be okay, I wasn't nervous at all. Good Luck!!!
  14. Have you checked Dr. Sidney Rohrscheib in Clinton? He comes to Champaign at Safeworks and also does procedures at Carle. I am not sure how much he charges for a fill as I am just 4 weeks post surgery and scheduled for my first fill in Champaign on 02/26.
  15. yes, we must be right after each other LOL.
