I am no where near maintenance but I really like this thread!!! Great questions

When people call me skinny! As if I can understand that word!!! Also when they say don't lose too much more because that would be too much! Hahaha right!

Just tried on clothes from my brothers wedding in 2008 and they fit with room to move! I was at my smallest ever at his wedding! Very excited to have them fit me! Now I need somewhere to wear them!

Picked out and fit into a size 10 Jean from Costco! They don't have change rooms so you never know! I am super happy with the jeans, they are size 10 DKNY and were only 20$!

They had a bake sale at work today to raise money for a coworker who lost a loved one and I had to be the one to organize the goodies and go to 4 floors to get the donations and dole out the treats. Plus they were all in my office for the morning. The smell were great. I didn't even have a lick of one! True test of my determination during this process! Everyone was very impressed with my willpower as was I!

Just tried on a size 11/12 Miss Me jeans at Dillard's and they fit! No room left but they fit!! ????

I am a med/surg nurse if 15 years now working as a nurse manager at a busy level one trauma center! Magnet certified too! ????????

On this day exactly one year ago, I had my first consultation with my surgeon. (I picked the only surgeon I ever consulted with. I had done a ton of research online before.) I was terrified and almost backed out. I weighed in at 322.6 pounds. This morning I weighed 204.8 pounds. I just got an email from my NUT (after meeting with her yesterday) saying that I have lost 64% of my excess body weight (not sure exactly how that is calculated) and telling me I am officially NOT obese. My diabetes is in remission. I have actually taken a boxing class (which almost killed me but I did it.) I have actually been referred to as "skinny" by a few people (though they are a bit biased as I am far from skinny). Oh and I am unemployed after a layoff. (Not at all WLS related but certainly a shock and hanging on to the hope that it is a blessing in disguise.) I can honestly say that on this day last year, I could NEVER have imagined this is where I would be on this day. I can't wait to see what next year will bring...

I'm pretty early in to this journey but the other day I went to a restaurant with my husband and we sat in a booth. I had a good 5-6 " from me to the table. It was a smaller booth that I know I felt tight in before. Those of you who know what I'm talking about know how cool this felt!

Oh my gosh, I love that I'm able to go to concerts and movies and the seat isn't hurting my hips because I have to wedge myself in. I love that I was able to go into a cave and it was walking intensive steep inclines up a down and I didn't have to stop. I love that I can wrap a regular sized towel around and it actually goes all the way around me. I love that my hubby can hug me and his arms go all the way around. I love that when someone in public looks at me I don't automatically think they are disgusted because Im so huge. (well they might be-I don't know-ha!) I love that I don't HAVE to shop at the larger sizes store for clothes. I love that I can walk for miles and not be huffing and puffing after half a mile.

I don't love running no matter what the temperature. You're way ahead of me on that one.

I'm 13 months post op and I can now look back and laugh at myself. I too was surprised by the gas pain but I am a true believer (now) that walking immediately afterwards helps tremendously. I've always been deathly afraid of needles (injections) and almost passed out when my post-op home care instructions involved giving myself Coumadin injections twice a day in the stomach. I did it though. I was disappointed that my surgeon installed two stomach drains that I had to keep for two weeks post-op at home. Trying to sleep with two tubes with bulbs attached coming out of your stomach was rough, but I did it! (hint: tape them to your stomach so they move with you)
I've exceeded my weight-loss goal and I'm now trying to maintain. I weight myself weekly and decide to increase or decrease my bad carbs. Truthfully, I no longer enjoy eating. I eat to live. Previously, I lived to eat. Nothing tastes as good as I look and feel now and I wouldn't trade my sleeve for anything!
