Quaker Mini Delights - OMG
Just tried them for the first time this week. They are so tasty. I am going to have to be careful though...too good. At least they are packaged in the 90 cal. not the big bag cuz that would be gone by now

This thread is going to be sooo inappropriate!
There has to be someone in a lab somewhere that could figure out a way to bottle up those "stink farts" and turn them to liquid (Oops, by the sound of it, most of them are already liquid". We farm and pay $7000/ton for fertilizer. We'd be willing to 1/2 of that price for some good stuff

i am staying on plan today because ...
I am staying on plan today cuz and I have all week and my scale still hasn't moved. I believe tomorrow or the next day I will see the benefits of staying on plan.
-
I just really wanted to share
Congratulations...I, too, need to ignore the scale. I only allow myself to weigh in bi-weekly. It actually helps me not to get down. Wishing you continued success!!!!!!!!!!!!

restriction 3 weeks post op?
Wheetsin and Steph...I'll stick around and thanks for the encouragement. I'm all for hearing the good, the bad and the ugly. I want info from the experience of others that have been down this road ahead of me. I have the ability to sort out good verses bad advice. I just have a real concern about people giving info that could actually plant a seed in someone's mind about the "tricks" of starving the body to the point of going to ER and living months in misery just to lose pounds. I believe close to 100% of us are on this journey to get our health back. I was told at my informational seminar to expect a slow loss with the lapband and slow loss is much better for our system. I like my food and my plan is to continue to eat food and not have it end up in the sink. I think I'd rather be a touch hungry rather than be miserable with far too tight restriction. I'll wait for my weight loss the healthy way. By the way Steph, it took me six months to get my weight off. I feel better every day.

B: 4 oz lean ham L: 4 oz tuna/light mayo 2 tbls My plan for dinner: 1/2 cup brocolli and pork loin S: cottage cheese The scale hasn't moved this week but it will (at least that's what I say when I'm talking to myself)

restriction 3 weeks post op?
OK, read the above captioned posts. I'm freaking here:ohmy:. I have been sopping up advice on LBT for a couple of months now. I trust my surgeon and know I made a good choice but he's lacking in the info dept. I've considered myself lucky to rely on you guys with experience. After reading the advice in those two posts above and reading through the threads the posts were in, (after picking my chin up off my desk) I felt like running for the freaking LBT door and slamming it shut, never to return. WTF? I am sorry to offend but that kind of info is nothing I want to take down my lapband road. Can anyone say may lapband is a "tool" not a vice grip?

Funny Fat Stories
Mine doesn't have to do with the butt...it has to do with the boobs in the grocery store. I am pushing my cart (my carb cart) and was rounding a corner. As I get around the corner, I had to quickly get out of the way of another person's cart. Well, my boobs get places long before I do. My right underwire caught on one of those metal price tag holders on the shelf. I am still on the go and didn't realize I was caught. It pulled so hard that it ripped a hole in my shirt and flipped my bra up over my boob. After an adjustment, things were fine but everyone around my stopped what they were doing and watched. I had a white T shirt on and when I got to check out noticed that the front of my shirt was bright red....had a one inch gash where the metal thingy had caught me. Not one of my prouder moments:blushing:

Soooo tired of waiting for the day to come.
Yep...know what you are feeling. I started the process Oct. 2 with my first surgeon sponsored seminar. Started my 6 mo. diet in Nov. Really trying to be patient but not easy. I find myself whining about it and I don't think I have whined about anything since I was 4 yrs old. Just such a long process and I don't have a clue if my ins. company will approve me or not and the end of this long process. Did you get approval? I had a surgery date of Feb 19 but had to give it up cuz ins. company wanted to see my A$$ jump through a few more hoops. It will be worth it in the end. Good luck to you

Thanks,LJM...I'm having one of those weeks where I think anytime I'm going to pig out..for some reason staying low carb really does taper those feelings with each day getting a little better. Now just to loss some weight b/4 Tuesday, my last weigh in with surgeon b/4 submitting to ins.
