  1. Mine was upped to Oct 7th!. I'll let you know how it goes!
  2. everyone has their own story to tell. we all have different body issues. its' not THEIR fault (the skinny people) that we're fat. so what if they are skinny and talking about dieting? that doesn't affect us or the reason we got fat in the first place. we all have different genetics and issues. i never blame anyone for my fat except for me. and if my skinny friend doesn't get it i will set her straight but never belittle her own issues cuz as women god knows we all have them thanks to society's dismal view of the female form.
  3. I wrote the big check today my surgery is on the seventh! So excited no pre-op diet but I'm going to try to cleanse 72 hours before the procedure. Best of luck to everyone
  4. Oh that's true for pre op. I'm saying post op I'm going to lift pretty hard I think but who knows right?
  5. I wouldn't stop lifting if it were me. I'm not as concerned with weight if I'm tight. I think it's a personal preference. I think genetics has a lot to do with it too. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
  6. has he been your friend since you were heavy?
  7. well i'll tell u what i'm trying and let u know if it works. ive started lifting weights now - pre-op to try and build the muscles underneath the fat which is part of why loose skin happens i'm told. so doing it early on is the way to go. i figure it can't hurt. can you work out yet?
  8. i feel exactly the same way! being fat is literally ruining my life! it's holding me back from so many things. I cant wait! good luck to you. keep me posted!
  9. i'm going for it! work says it's ok. OMG! i'm stoked!!
  10. So I feel like I've already had surgery. It's weird but I got a migraine for the first time and it really took away my appetite for like three days and so I guess in a way, I started my own pre-op diet. Started eating smaller portions cutting the carbs hit in the protein first no alcohol no type of pills for pain that can inhibit my liver so I guess I'm on a self-imposed pre-op diet.
  11. you look fantastic!! you had a great shape at 260 and you still have it now! what an inspiration. have you had an plastic surgery? you don't seem to have loose skin. you are an inspiration. thank you so much for this post!
  12. i have to say im not nervous. but i think it's because i have become so depressed about my weight and how i look that even if i died in surgery it would be better than living the rest of my life like this. i only share that here becuz i know we are sleeve sisters and i can. and no i don't have suicidal thoughts. i just would rather be anything or go thru anything (even eating weird portions and limited items for the rest of my life) than stay the way i am now. just being honest. and i don't fear failure becuz it's not an option for me. i will do whatever it takes. i have to. i can't stay like this. we can do this!
  13. i'm october 13th. SUPER EXCITED. can't wait. somehow i managed not to have to go thru a pre op diet. but i am not drinking any alcohol or taking anything that affects my liver (motrin or anything like that) just in case and trying to low carb as well. all my doctor said was don't gain any weight but no preop diet.
  14. yeah i kinda feel the same as Babbs. i can't see what your goal weight is or your height but i'd be like thrilled to be at 160 anything. my starting stats are the same as yours 232lbs (i'm 5'3). i think if you were still in the 200's or something you could say you failed but truly i don't see failing in this thread at all. Maybe you're just depressed.
  15. Two amazing things happened to me today. first my surgery date was moved from October 26 to October 13. And second I was informed that I have no pre-op diet to follow. I was not expecting this. I thought I would have to do some sort of two-week liquid thing before my surgery. Now I find out I don't! that being said. I am going to have a very clean diet two weeks prior just so I can make sure the liver is in the right condition etc.
  16. I was totally excited when I read the title as well. I would be thrilled to lose almost 20 pounds in a month because like the previous woman said I would never have done that on my own in a month or even two months so congratulations keep your chin up and just keep plugging away
  17. That is just incredible. So very proud happy and inspired by you.
  18. I did/am doing the same thing for the last few weeks before surgery. Just eating mostly whatever. I'm ready to buckle down in a few weeks for surgery and beyond
  19. haha i love this thread! i love my car. made me want to get skinny. i have after market tips, cold air intake, working on new exhaust, cams and headers and getting a damn tuner cuz im governed at 118mph and that's not acceptable
  20. hahahahahahaha this is the exact opposite of my story. i bought a camaro and then realized i didn't want to be a fat girl in a hot car hehe ok that's not the whole reason for my surgery but it's part of it! we're camaro/sleeve sisters now
  21. congrats!! and i love the screen name! I'm cammie girl too
  22. awesome. that's super helpful. thank you. im from puerto rico.
  23. that is AMAZING. Im so happy for you! what is this Vitamin patch? i need to know this cuz i'm not great at taking pills. is it a daily thing? do tell. and again, congrats. so awesome.
