  1. Bit of a set back today. I was very active yesterday plus I might've had too many acidic things so my tummy hurts and I feel fast and tired. I might've over done in. Going back to basic diet. On a good note still losing a pound a day lol.
  2. Now we're at Starbucks which I love and I didn't get anything. Yay me.
  3. I went out to eat with the family! I had tomato basil soup with sour cream and hot chocolate. It was great!. Only needed a few bites and few sips. Totally wonderful. Take the rest home
  4. hi cute. There's no drain. Is there supposed to be??- I'm walking a lot. Even just in my house at times I'll get up and walk around. I feel great today. Like normal ish. Not hungry at all. I think I'm happy today because I walked by dog. Put on make up. Wiped down my car. Now I'm going for a drive. It helps to get out of the house and not just be thinking about ounces to drink and walking and all that shot 24/7. Lol. That being said I have my Water and Protein shake in the car. Lol
  5. As far as weight goes I'm trending about a pound a day. Surgery weight was 229. Today I'm 225. I'm perfectly fine with that. Someone told me you come out of surgery ten pounds lighter. That wasn't the case for me but a pound a day is a great trend. I'm shooting for five a week just so I'm not disappointed. I'm eating (drinking) broth. Decaf with almond milk. Jello. Yogurt. Water. Protein shakes. That's about it but it's fine actually. Still zero hunger. Gas gets better everyday.
  6. I incorporated an ounce of a savory fatty broth into three ounces of low sodium stuff and its helped with both the headache and my energy level which has been down a little today my pleasure Patty. And thank you. I know we are all in this together. ????????
  7. One other thing. I Stopped drinking coffee about two weeks before surgery because I didn't want to have to deal with a caffeine headache while I was recovering. It turns out you will have a slight headache anyway because the liquid diet is very low sodium and that will give you a bit of a headache nothing big but just something to be aware of
  8. I will tell you the weirdest thing about this. I got up around 4am. No particular reason just went to bed too early so I was up. I popped on some Netflix and as I was laying there I realized back in the day if I had woken up at this time I'd have been hungry. And by all rights I should be hungry I mean I'm living in shakes and Jello and broth. I must be hungry. But you don't feel it. You don't get that empty feeling in your stomach at all so you just kinda feel regular. Not full. Not hungry. Just kinda in the middle. It's really weird. Good tho becuz you're not compelled to get up and eat like I might've been in the past. I'm going home tomorrow. I've been at my dad's since surgery. I'd be interested to see if I've lost weight these last few days. I mean I must have. Wed i ate nothing. Thursday barely anything plus threw up twice. Friday some broth and shakes and jello. So we'll see. I'll keep you posted!
  9. Beginning Days look like this. And I promise you won't mind!
  10. the incisions are the five across the top. The bottom bruising is from the heprin shots. You get one every eight hours. The incisions are bruised but don't hurt.
  11. Feeling great today ladies. ???? Again no hunger at all. Sipping on a Protein shake is a pleasure. It's sweet and easy to handle and the only thing you really can imagine putting in your stomach at all. Later I'll try some broth and Jello maybe.
  12. you got this!. Keep us posted.
  13. Thank you mama. I feel much better ????
  14. Well guys. I have to say I was feeling really good in the hospital before my discharge but when I got home it was seriously rough going. I threw up twice was nauseous and in pain. Again mostly due to gas I think. I took mylanta gas chewable and I thought it was working but then I threw up. What's making me throw up was the amount of mucus in my system. In any case after a rough several hours I was finally able to get my pain meds and now I feel much better.
  15. Night was a little rough. Again due to being a no-fart person lol. Much better today. Took last dose of pain meds and now I'm on Fluid counting. 4oz per hour. Started with protien shake. Now broth. Then Jello Super excited becuz the liquid diet part is easy!. Cuz you're totally not hungry so not having to eat is almost a relief. Drinking much more appealing Should be released this afternoon ????
  16. Well 9:30pm. Recovery it's a little tough. I've had gastritis for years. I don't fart for some reason so getting the co2 out has been tough. I finally just burped for the first time thank God. When I first got out the stomach pain was really bad but two hits of demirol and one of delotted (sp) and I slept and woke up better Girls. To say you don't get hungry is a under statement. I've had nothing but Water all day. Zero appetite. Like literally zero. Gonna try broth and Jello tomorrow. I've gotten nauseous a couple times but held it back Feeling ok right now. Blood pressure is a little high other wise I'm pretty good. Yay burp. The gas is the hardest part of recovery but it's doable. Walk walk walk. Sip sip sip. And breath breath breath. There is this breathing treatment you di every hour to prevent pneumonia I'll keep u posted! Thks!
  17. Play by play Take vitals Put in iv. Heprin shot to the stomach Probiotic in the iv Surgery hat on head lol
  18. Woop!. Starting at 229 today. According to hospital scale. Why are the robes for like six hundred pound people?. Even the socks are huge!
  19. hahahahahaha. do you girl. sounds like you're doing great. and your doctor is a dork. lol
  20. It can b good tho I have no one to be accountable to but myself. But it's easy to cheat on myself too so it's a process either way I guess lol. We got this!
  21. Lol I realize I'm lucky to live alone without other mouths to feed (except my dog).
  22. Lol. I'm heading to the store after I finish the pantry ????
