Surgery day!
hey guys. how's everyone doing. i did better last night. when i got home i had that chicken Soup (measured in my little 4oz cup) and then later i had Fage 0% yogurt with peaches. my scale lost it's mind this morning. i think it needs batteries. but i can feel im doing good still lol. i woke up feeling kinda icky but then i had fage yogurt with fruit for Breakfast and my multi Vitamin and i'm feeling pretty good. so that's promising. maybe the yogurt cultures help or something? idk @retrieverguy you gonna make 'em with vodka? do you use powder Jello? i only have the premade jello maybe i could melt it and make one in a few weeks

Surgery day!
hey gang. so. i feel like im having trouble eating. not only cuz i don't feel well most of the time. (which by the way im used to from having gastritis for the last 20 years) but also like i can't even get more than a few bites of food down lately. like today i've had 4oz of tea, like five bites of cottage cheese and about five bites of refried Beans and i feel shitty. like it's in my throat and i just don't feel good. got a headache. feel icky. little nauseous. im about 15oz of Water in. i feel like i need a break like to sleep for a week or something. idk what's up.

Decide not to have surgery?
i agree with goblue. i also lost weight too. over and over and over again. keeping it off was another story. but if you feel strong and motivated then by all means push it back. but i would say (as goblue said) push it 3 to 6 months and see where you're at. you want to have the option. i was at a point of desperation when i chose this and i think that's where you have to be to make sure you don't regret it and that it's worth it to you. years and years of yo yo dieting don't go away over night. but if your mind has shifted permanently then good for you. we all have our own journeys.

Surgery day!
agreed. the Water is very hard. going out to eat sucks anyways right now so you're not missing out. and i do find that i am being cautious - like there is this amazing chocolate cake here at work. i had a couple bites last week at a going away party but i'm not gonna touch it again. i had this thought last night that this was kinda like a game and i could make a little tiny hamburger with french fries (4oz worth) and it would be adorable and then i thought WTF Mila. no. you still have to make good choices and then when you're skinny you can make your mini burger thing like once a week lol. smh. so while the sleeve is a tool - you really have to still make good choices. so yay us. xo

Surgery day!
hi guys. bit of an up and down weekend. and i find, when i go out to eat and pick at a bunch of random crap, not only do i usually feel icky (tummy) but i also don't lose. so yesterday i couldn't eat much cuz i felt icky so i had Soup in my little 4oz container (came to 3.5oz), some peaches, a sugar free popsicle and 1/2 Protein shake. it's all i could really muster. i lost a pound which is great we'll see how i do today. good luck today everyone. xoxo

Nice! We're not that close in stats but we can still journey together! ???? I'm doing ok. I'm 5'3. Started at 232. I'm 215 now. Had a couple rough days but nothing was as bad as the liquid he'll portion for two weeks lol. I was October 7th also ????

Surgery day!
It took me a while but I realized I pretty much had to stay mushy for now and I had to measure as long as I stay between two and 4 ounces I seem to be OK but every once in a while I do a protein shake and don't even try to eat because it is tricky right now. But hey whatever works as long as you're getting your protein let's keep getting skinny :-) what are your stats?

Surgery day!
I'm sharing pretty much the same exact journey as you. Trying to figure out the "real food" thing now.

Pre surgery diet
i had a friend that used these tips http://www.findhomeremedy.com/11-fantastic-remedies-for-liver-enlargementhepatomegaly/ i myself stopped drinking coffee and alcohol and stopped taking any NSAIDs (anti inflammatories) or opiates (loratab) etc that i was given for my sciatica. and my surgery went fine. i dont really know what calories have to do with your liver but then i'm not a doctor. either way you can do it! hang in there.

Surgery day!
had a pot luck at work. i had three pieces of rotini Pasta, couple bites of some shrimp ceviche. little bit of chicken tortilla Soup like four bites (didn't eat any of the chicken tho). one bite of a kiwi, two bites of flan and two bites of chocolate cake. ha! just saying. you aren't restricted you just can't eat much. but still got to taste most things. stayed away from the rice and tortilla chips. prolly do pears for snack then Protein shake type thing for dinner. tomorrow i'll get on the tracking i got indigestion but it's to be expected with that smorgasbord of food. i took two pepcid and i'm ok now.

The universe is against me
im not sure what you are eating but one thing i noticed was no sugar, low sodium, no carbs and no caffeine - like in the first 2 weeks post op - i had NO mood swings at all like i used to. food rage is a real thing. look into it. good luck
