  2. Thank you all for your responses! I just had my 1 month check up and the doctor agreed. Mood swings are normal after having a major surgery. She recommended me talking to my primary doctor to see if I could take depression meds. I have taken anxiety meds before and still have some. She said it would be ok to start taking them when I get CRAZY! However I can't stand taking meds, so I asked the doctor about marij and she said definitely not in the first 12 weeks

  9. I have been so angry lately it feels like everyone is just so annoying. or just plain stupid. Just a little history: There is a lot on my plate. My mother passed away in February. My husband was in a coma for a while and he got out of it and seemed to be doing fine before I decided to have surgery. But the last few weeks something changed and he started experience major mood swings and having difficulty breathing or having any energy at all. So I have been doing everything again around the house, working, and managing his doctor appointments. Which normally I don't mind i would rather do everything because I'm a control freak and want to make sure it gets done. But I have been getting so irritated with lil things and everything. The other day I came home, and thank God my husband was at a doctor appointment, i just flipped out and started throwing things in my house. I was losing it! and I couldn't stop. I was just so mad that he left the sugar bowl on the counter that I have asked him several times to put away when he is done.. But it just flipped me out. When he got home i asked him for a smoke and he wouldn't give me one. and when he asked why and I told him he got mad at me. I don't like to make him mad because of all the has been threw so i have in and apologized. but now i am at WORK and would like to have a new job. I cant stand it.. when I used to love my JOB.. something is wrong and I just dont understand. I was told you can experience irritability but this is just crazy~! sleeved on 09/17/15.
  10. OMG i have been going crazy for days. Feels like everything in the universe is pissing me off!

  15. i was able to quit 5 days before surgery! it was the easiest time i ever had to quit. I guess its because the surgery was finally going to happen, and I knew that if i was going through this big change I would have to be in it 100% so I made up my mind and just quit. That day i didnt have any cravings at all. I was focused on what i can and cant eat or drink. And i just spent every moment thinking about different foods and recipes i could do. I think thats what helped me quit. Just focus on something else.

  18. they do not work! i have tried them. Also i recently started following people on instagram that have had VSG and all the sudden i am being followed by people the sell IT WORKS! tell me this isn't a scam. It seems like they steel peoples before and after pics from weight loss surgery so that they can use them for their photos claiming IT WORKS!
  19. elizabethkl I am currently 249lbs I started at 261. My current goal is 199. But my long term goal is 155. Sounds great! I am just getting used to this site are you on instagram?

  21. We are about the same. I had my sleeve done on September 17th!
  22. Wanting children and wanting to be able to do things with them when they grow up. I felt myself getting more and more tired with every step. People would say get out exercise and I would it would just be so exausting going for a walk. My skinny friends would say yeah working out is supposed to be hard. But not so hard that just walking kills u.
  23. Thank u I will have to try some of those.
  24. The doctor never said I was in a particular stage. Just that I'm on week 3. I can have clear liquids, full liquids, fish, mashed potatoes, soft cheeses, crackers, eggs, and canned fruit and vegetables. I just don't know about seasonings and spices I can use for the fish or mashed potatoes.
  25. I'm having trouble with planning meals. Everything I eat is so bland. Does anyone have any recommendations for meals or recipes for week 3?
