Fluids slip throught your sleeve faster than food. I drink 12 oz in a very short period of time every morning. The first week that will not be the case, but after that, I had no problem with liquids.
Most people will lose hair, I am 12 weeks out and just starting to lose some. They say it will return someday. I would plan on losing some of your hair, sounds like it is a given. I am glad headbands are in style, I will be using them.

I am 12 weeks out and went down just about 2 sizes. No worries, they can alter your dress. You will be fine.

I'm in a gown just waiting to start my journey. This has been a life changing experience so far. I am a bone cancer survivor & in remission as of 2 yrs, 5 mos and feel this surgery will help get me to my pre-cancer weight. It was a 3yr fight with chemo & the amputation of my leg at cancer site. Due to loss of mobility, constant hospital stays & steroids I actually gained weight. I am very active with 3 kids & cycling helps but need additional help shedding this weight as I don't want to have beaten cancer only to die later due to being fat.

Heck yeah I did, 2 beautiful bites of strawberry shortcake. And no guilt. We are human for goodness sake. Best thing is, a very small amount is all I needed. And I will be doing that again soon

That is tuff. Is he more worried about a "surgery" or what "type" of surgery it is? I believe in honesty. I would tell him what is going one and what the outcome is going to be. And why you are going to do this. I would assume a great reason is so you will be around to play and have fun with him right? Just give the details you think he can handle. He does not need to know everything.

I haven't kept it a secret but I haven't been advertising it either. Most of my friends know, a few of my coworkers. Response has been positive.

You should be fine with the Soup, just try not to eat the solids. If you do, do not freak out. I was on soft foods at this time, so you should be fine.

I found out this morning that my surgeon IS going to be able to go ahead with the surgey and just exclude the liver biopsy. Soooooo happy!!!!
I have a few more hoops to jump through, but at least I'm one step closer.

I am 3 months out and mine are all dark. Unless it is painful, draining or ***** I would not worry about it.

Let's just say that 20 year old read this post, I would bet she will not be back to this forum. There goes her opportunity to read and learn valuable information from this site. I saw her post, as I saw this one. This is why people stop participating. If you see something that irritates don't respond. I bet there will be others that may take a moment to express their concerns and what they have learned along the way.
