Almost EVERYONE experiences hair loss. I've seen a few rare exceptions. A very few.
Look, it's really not a big deal for most people. I would estimate I lost 25% of my hair. Luckily, I have (had) very thick hair, so it was only noticeable to me and my hairdresser. Although at going on 17 months out its pretty much stopped and most has grown back, my hair is a bit finer and thinner now. But I'm also a bit finer and thinner now, too, so I'll take that trade off any day

Anything you put your all into is possible. I was sleeved at 342 lbs exactly a year and a week ago. My Dr's goal for 18-months out was 197. I'm currently 191. Getting sleeved was the best thing I ever did!!

5 months post-op

Oh, there has been plenty. Cookies, candy, fried food, wine... My nut says I'm eating too much sugar and too much fat.
But at the same time I did this surgery to be happier and I think as long as I stay on course 90 percent of the time, a few indulgences here and there should be allowed. Life is too short!!
And really it's made no difference in my weight because I always get back on track. The important thing is consistency and accountability.

August 17th for me ???????? I am doing well. I've lost 88 lbs from my highest weight. Keep up the good work !!  

Thanks! I'm nervous and excited but mostly committed. As an RN in a Hospital setting, I see the health issues associated with obesity. And it gets worse, the older you get. I also see obese Nurses who retire after a long career with ruined knees, chronic back pain and constantly hurting feet. They hobble into retirement.
I don't want that for myself.

We had 124 people complete this challenge and lost a total of 1353.2 pounds! We had 11 people lose over 10%, which is absolutely incredible! @@Amberina lost the most with 14.14%. We had 33 people reach their goal weight, which I think is pretty awesome considering the time of year it was!
