    @@OutsideMatchInside,
Thanks for the info on bananas and for raising this discussion! Definitely bananas are not a low-carb food! I don’t think I would equate bananas with Oreos given the differences in potassium, sodium, Fiber, and Vitamins. Certainly for a single day if you are trying to balance your calories, you could choose two Oreos or a banana interchangeably.
Day in and day out, though, I don’t see being able to justify (from a health or weight loss perspective) choosing a banana over Oreos and their refined grains, salt, and high fructose corn Syrup, not to mention losing out on the possible benefits of the resistant starch found in bananas, which possibly could help with growing good bacteria in the gut.
Thanks for the list of various fruits and their net carb content! It can definitely be helpful to have a quick list of possible fruits to choose if you’re looking for a snack and only have a few calories to spend. A cup of strawberries can certainly be more filling than a half a banana for the same number of calories.

There is also a huge difference between simple and complex carbs.

Thanks Tcon for the written support. I am feeling so much better and there are tons of things I can do now that I couldn't do before. I know once my back issue is taken care of I would feel even better. Now that I am below 250 I plan to get a referral to a back specialist and see what they can do for my back so I can walk again. I intend to keep losing until I get to my goal.

I have just hit 103 lbs down and am about 10 1/2 months out. I feel like I have been a slow loser compared to a lot of folks but mainly because I had a 2 1/2 month stall around the 7 month mark and just started losing again. I was hoping to further down with being this close to being a year out, but I am still incredibly proud of my progress so far and beyond thankful for the opportunity to receive this tool.
Here was a face to face transformation at the 90 lb down mark:

And here is a side by side from the morning of my surgery to my 100 lb down mark wearing the same exact shirt. It's amazing how much longer the shirt looks when it isn't stretched over that tummy!

You will get through it... We had to loose 10% of our weight before the insurance company would authorize payment. It was a sign of good faith and intention. Surgery is a tool not a cure all like I it went in thinking (like Lipo or something like that) lol. I learned processed foods have no business in my house, let along in my body or kids. Also, I am a pretty awesome cook. Something I forgot after having a bunch of babies and letting my husband start cooking lol. Now I didn't give up food just food with no real purpose. You need to get ready to take in at least 60g+ of Protein a day in a tiny tummy. I did have random cheat days but knew what the goal was. Oh and cheat day i mean BBQ =extra Proteins lol. An example of my dinner before would be baked chicken breast Cup of broccoli with a bit of Italian dressing in it (kids live it) and only a couple spoonfuls of Rice o Roni (carb are bad). I gave up soda pop a while ago and I'm glad I did. I can only imagine what pain I'd be in if I drank it today. Breakfast heck I ate bacon and eggs (egg whites are less calories) and bacon but only 2-3strips not half the lbs like before. Yogurt and Greek yogurt were good for snack for lunch I had a bunch of light Progresso Soups and salad or sandwiches. Keep in mind some of the store bought salads can have as many calories as Burger so watch the calorie content. You're better off making it yourself and can probably do it better and dress it up by throwing your own grilled chicken or steak from the night before....I'd Google some 1400cal diet recipes and go from there. You got this

You can do it and you will make it. I suggest making healthy choices. I would limit carb intake as much as possible and try to eat healthy fats and get in the habit of eating Protein. Good luck!!

Looks legit. My best results are certainly when I keep it between 50-100 grams. Still have good energy for the gym and loss still occurs.
Right outa the Paleo diet playbook.
    Slight derail follows....sorry......
I know of few guys and a gal who are reaping the benefits of this. Only two of them are into it as fanatics.....embracing the marriage of Paleo + Crossfit. The others don't take it to the near cult-like level but really are doing well after eating more wholesome foods that aren't processed and full of extra additives/preservatives/etc.
Fresh outa the ground, off the vine, from the sea and on hoof. I can say with absolute sincerity that since being post-op I've been eating this way for the most part and I feel much better overall. Cutting out the diet sodas, chips, candy, pop tarts, Cereal, frozen Desserts and etc has been great. If I get the strong desire for something sweet......then some chilled seedless grapes or blueberries are the ticket and so much better tasting now than any of that other garbage was before.
I still use artificial sweeteners in coffee and the list of chemicals in my Protein powder and pre-workout drinks are not good. Areas to work on.
Anyway, cool chart. Thanks for posting.
