tcon reacted to sbrainwater in Almost 3 months post-op. Down 51 pounds.
I'm jotted down all your ideas. The picture thing is great advice because I hate pictures of myself. So that will be a nice thing to look back on. Plus logging the supplements. Have you tried the Vitamin Patch? My stomach tends to get upset whenever I take Vitamins so I'm really worried about taking vitamins. But one of my other site buddies told me about the patch. And I'm going to order B-12 shots. Yay!!! Again congratulations and thank you!

You totally just inspired me. Before your surgery we are same stats across the board. My surgery is in less than 3 weeks. Thank you for posting. You look amazing and it sounds like you feel great too.

We have about the same going on:
HW 255
SW 240
CW 196
Age 40
I am 5'2"
I had my surgery on June 15, I have gotten sick a total of 4 times since coming home from the hospital. I can eat just about anything (no bread at all!!) my stomach lets me know when I am about full and I stop. I have 3 teenaged girls and a one year old grandson. I run a small in home daycare, I work about 60 hours a week. Looks like we mirror each other in a lot of ways. Congrats and hope you enjoy the ride!!

Thanks!!
Energy is increasing. I have 3 boys playing football, I work full-time plus overtime and several other things going on. I'm tired because of the busyness. I have a lot more energy than I did last year this time. We did a lot walking yesterday and I didn't give out of breathe. I was able to keep with with all of the teenagers. I had tons of energy.
Advice:
Protein
Eat slow - I struggle with this because I'm always pushed for time. Thankfully my pouch slows me down.
Water - this is another struggle. 30 minutes before and after and no drinking while eating is harder than it sounds.
I recently joined the gym and purchased a Fitbit to track my steps. I have more confidence and look forward to working out when time allows.
Say NO. Make up your mind ahead of time. 3 months is more challenging than I thought it would be. My sleeve is not picky and I have not figured out when I'm full ???????? so I can eat whatever I want. I'm eating more salads now. I limit my dressing. I dip instead of pouring the dressing on the salad and I try to dip every few bites.
Take progress pictures. I hate taking pictures. Until yesterday I didn't realize how much I had changed. It lifted my confidence and makes me want to continue to stick to the plan.
Log your food. I try to log everything including my supplements.
I weigh daily. I know for some people this is discouraging but for me it keeps me focused.
Good luck! ????????

That's how I've eaten from day one. I eat full fat cheese, butter, dressings, etc. I believe in real food in smaller quantities and no processed, low fat, low sugar crap! I find it keeps me satiated longer, too.

I've had this dress for a year and I can finally fit it. This was my first time participating in my children's harvest carnival. I've always just volunteered but never dressed up. My girls were so excited I was a bunny lol. A bow tie, tail, and ears.
