  1. @@sbrainwater Thanks!! Energy is increasing. I have 3 boys playing football, I work full-time plus overtime and several other things going on. I'm tired because of the busyness. I have a lot more energy than I did last year this time. We did a lot walking yesterday and I didn't give out of breathe. I was able to keep with with all of the teenagers. I had tons of energy. Advice: Protein Eat slow - I struggle with this because I'm always pushed for time. Thankfully my pouch slows me down. Water - this is another struggle. 30 minutes before and after and no drinking while eating is harder than it sounds. I recently joined the gym and purchased a Fitbit to track my steps. I have more confidence and look forward to working out when time allows. Say NO. Make up your mind ahead of time. 3 months is more challenging than I thought it would be. My sleeve is not picky and I have not figured out when I'm full ???????? so I can eat whatever I want. I'm eating more salads now. I limit my dressing. I dip instead of pouring the dressing on the salad and I try to dip every few bites. Take progress pictures. I hate taking pictures. Until yesterday I didn't realize how much I had changed. It lifted my confidence and makes me want to continue to stick to the plan. Log your food. I try to log everything including my supplements. I weigh daily. I know for some people this is discouraging but for me it keeps me focused. Good luck! ????????
  2. HW: 255 SW: 241 CW: 198 43 pounds since July 30. Surgeon was very pleased with my progress. Down 57 pounds from highest and 43 since surgery not 51.
  3. You're doing great! I'm not losing that fast ???????????? 27 since 7/30/15.
  4. Sounds like he may be a little insecure. Is he overweight? Hopefully he'll read it and realize you're making changes so that you will be healthy. Good luck and I hope he changes his heart.
  5. Yesterday was the first time I've had Starbucks in almost 3 months and honestly I didn't like it like I use to. The coffee made my stomach and throat hurt. I was only able to drink maybe half of a tall. I'll save those five bucks and calories for something else.
  6. Would love to hear some responses on this subject. I definitely need help meal planning with my busy schedule.
  7. I'm 7 weeks and I've lost 25 since surgery. I did lose 15 prior surgery. So a total of 40. You're losing almost 4 pounds per week. I think that's great. ???? I have noticed that I lose more when I get 80-100 grams of Protein and my Water. I almost always meet my protein goal of 60-80 however it's difficult to exceed that. Sure I get discouraged but I know that I'm doing exactly what I'm suppose to do and I've never lost 25 pounds in 7 weeks before. Thankful for every pound lost. Good luck! You will lose it.
  8. I think I missed your goal. What is it? Thanks!Sorry I didn't give it to you ???? 191 for this challenge. ????
  9. You reached the famous three week stall. I had a few short stalls that lasted 3-5 days. Pay attention to the way your clothes are fitting and not the scale. This to, shall pass. ????
  10. 1 cup 15 protein 170 calories
  11. A lady I work with regained all of her weight and maybe some extra. Now that I know more about WLS, I know that she was dumping. I would hear her throwing up in the restroom. When I asked her if she was ok, she told me it was from the surgery. I didn't realize at the time she was eating too much and eating sweets. I know more people who have been successful than failed with bypass. They followed the program and look amazing. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow VSG and it's a daily battle, but I know that it will be worth it in the end. Trying hard to stick to the plan. I'm always researching and trying to figure out what works for me. ????
  12. WOW!! I really tell in your face. I hope you feeling better. ????
  13. I'll be four weeks on Thursday and I'm struggling with the same issues. On a good note, I'm down 32 pounds - 16 pounds pre-op. Good luck.
  14. I'm a Christian and would to join. Sending prayers up for all!!
  15. I was one of the lucky ones that gained 10 pounds from swelling and fluids. Thankfully I have started losing but experiencing the 3 weeks stall now. I can see my body shrinking and co-workers ask me daily if I'm losing weight. So I know I'm losing inches. Chin up...the scales will start going down soon. ????????
  16. I'm 3 weeks out and get between 550 and 650.
