  1. Monday will be the 3 week mark for me. I started soft foods this week but I swear I'm not eating hardly anything, just 3-5 bites at lunch and dinner. I have my two Protein shakes a day and then struggle the rest of the time trying to get in enough fluids! First two weeks I was down 20lbs, this week 0.7! Ugh!
  2. I know what you mean about the one bite that pushes you over the full level and it hurts! Wish I knew what "full" felt like before I get to that point! I've heard of a few people becoming lactose intolerant, could that be your problem with the yogurt? Any other dairy give you a problem since the yogurt incidence?
  3. Anybody know how to set us up as a group on this site? June bypass buddies?
  4. I had RNY June 1st. I'm eating the usual eggs, refried Beans but yesterday I had cheese tortellini! Could only eat three of the little boogers but they were so good! I haven't figured out what full feels like until its to late and I feel like I've been kicked in the chest so I just stop with 3-6 bites. That's an awful feeling! Still a little sore on the left side and have a big dip in my stomach under my left incision, anybody else? I can't seem to get enough Water In! It's hard to get a bunch of water down when you can't drink with or after meals and you can't drink in your sleep and if I drink to much to fast I get nauseated. I'm like the rest of you, I just want a normal life again, normal routine! I lost twenty pounds the first two weeks and then this week just 0.7 Very disappointed and wish I knew what to do to turn it around and get to loosing again. This is to hard to not loose more than that! I'm drinking 60gms of Protein a day (22oz). What should I do?
  5. I'm 19 days post op and last week I only lost 0.7 pounds! Whats up with that? I'm not eating enough to keep a bird alive how can I not even lose a pound?
  6. As long as your getting your Protein in (even if it's in shake form) and enough fluids you should be ok. Just keep taking your Vitamins. You will eventually get to eating. I don't see how not eating can slow your progress and long as your doing the rest. After all that is what we did right after surgery and we lost weight then?
  7. I totally understand what your saying and I wonder if I'll ever get there. I'm 18 days post op and I'm afraid to eat anything for fear it will make me sick, it will get stuck, it will give me dumping syndrome, I will gain weight. food, all food, has become the enemy!
  8. I swear I feel like I'm breathing in dust or I'm in a really smokey room! What's going on?
  9. @TLW Thanks, I am definitely going to look for it!
  10. I haven't experienced dumping yet but I have experienced that one bite to many! I don't get a full feeling so I don't know when to stop! So now I just stop after 4 or 5 bites now matter what!
  11. Relax, are you exercising? Getting enough Water? Getting all your Protein?
  12. @kempermorris I know I'm not getting enough fluids but I sip all day long and I can't get anymore in. I get my Protein in which is 22oz a day of fluids. I am constantly drinking, I have a timer set and every ten minutes I take a couple of gulps, more than that or faster than that and I get sick. I just don't know what to do
  13. @TLW is it with the special milks? How does Isopure taste? I think that may be one I haven't tried.
  14. You'll be glad you did it, maybe not in a month, but eventually.
  15. I'm getting tired of the chocolate, I can't stand the strawberry and the vanilla is tolerable only. The best strawberry I've found is the
  16. @mdunaway79 that's really great! I had some pain, more like a pulling sensation but it's much better now, 15 days post op. I also had a hiatal hernia they fixed. So your well on your way now, take it slow and easy. I found that just building back up my strength took a while. I started soft foods this week and found out that even 5 tiny bites is to much!
  17. @TLW Where do you get this fairlife milk? Never heard of it. I'm drinking Premier premade Protein drinks, they are 11oz with 30gms protein. I'm 15 days post op and I worry I'm not getting enough fluids. My mouth feels dry a lot. I drink my two 11 oz Protein Drinks and can usually manage about a 16oz bottle of Water a day but that's all. If I drink to fast I get sick. I'm not eating Breakfast (started soft foods this week) and having a Protein shake instead because I'm not suppose to drink during or for 45 minutes after I eat, so I just don't eat breakfast and have one of my Protein shakes instead.
  18. @angelinnc32 I'm just 15 days post op but what is this "diet" that you speak of? I really haven't been told what to eat! The docs seem to think I can eat whatever and I'm still going to loose weight. That may be true but they don't know me! I need specifics on what to eat or I can screw this up!
  19. Nascobal (B12 nasal spray used once a week, by prescription). My doc prescribes this and the company sends me my Calcium chewable, Multivitamin chewable and Iron chewable for free. Check out their program. I'm sure you can google it.
  20. plain fish or chicken and a couple bites of non starchy veg is what my doc told me. Not very adventurous but will work
  21. I just sent you a friend request
  22. @Mobeans63 I agree with you! I just don't see how you could possibly eat enough Protein, even if all you ate was high quality high protein foods. There just isn't enough room in my little pouch!
  23. I'm 15 days post op and so far everything taste the same, haven't really had that much food yet but what I have had taste the same.
  24. I'm really confused, some folks are saying their docs want them off Protein shakes at 3 weeks? Why? How do you possibly get enough protein without them? I'm not getting enough protein even with them! My doc has said I'll pretty much have to drink at least two a day forever. Someone enlighten me
