  1. I had 7cc put in during surgery and .4cc during my first fill. 7.4cc total. The doc said that he had to put that much in for the band to sit correctly. He said that sometimes that happens. So I don't know if some of my weightloss was successful because I already had saline in my band.
  2. I had my 1st fill 4 weeks after surgery on 2/13. Now I am going every 2 weeks until I hit my sweet spot.
  3. I lost 10 lbs in the first 10 days after surgery and then I didn't lose any for a couple of weeks but I was happy because I didn't gain it back either. I had my first fill on wed and have lost another 2 lbs. So I have lost a total of 12 lbs the 1st month which the doc said was really good. My goal is to lose about 10lbs each month. I am going to get fills every 2-3 weeks until I get to my 'sweet spot'.
  4. I got my first fill on the 2/13. She told me that I already had 7cc in and she put in .4cc which puts me at 7.4cc. I still don't fill the kind of restriction I felt when I first had the surgery but it is getting better. I am very happy though because I get to have a fill every 2-3 weeks until I find my sweet spot. I'm glad I don't have to wait longer. My nest fill is on the 27th.
  5. My DH has been very supportive. He congradulates me on my weightloss, encourages me to go work out (even though I haven't been doing it like I should), and doesn't comment on my eating. The one thing he does that could be better is not tempt me with foods I should not be eating. The other night my family ate chilly cheese dogs and I kept saying that I wanted one but I know I didn't need one. He kept saying if you really want one than eat one so I ended up feeling like it wouldn't be that bad and gave into temptation. I would of prefered it he didn't say anything to my comments. But it was still my own choice to give in so I can't blame him for it.
  6. I had my 1st fill on Wed and when I talked to the aftercare person she told me that if I didn't take in my 50-60g of protein a day I would start seeing brital nails, hair loss, saggy skin, etc. So are you getting enough protein? If not that might be your problem.
  7. I have to admit that since I have been banded I have become obsessed with weighing myself. I was just weighing myself every morning to see how what I ate the day before effected my weight but now I get on the scale everytime I walk by it.
  8. I was banded 1/16/08 and I have been struggling with head hunger. I have even cried quite a bit over losing my best friend (food) but I would still do it in a heartbeat. I have lost a total of 20 lbs. I lost 10 lbs within the 1st week after surgey and then my weight stalled but I was happy because I didn't gain it back. Normally if I would have lost 10 lbs that fast I would of gained 15 back but now have lost another 5 lbs (5 lbs lost during pre-op).
  9. Update another 3.4 lbs gone!!!! Nadean .......... 204.6 ..... 160 ........ 190.4........30.4
  10. I am doing well. I have the flu right now so I'm not feeling great but the lap band is well. I am getting hungry more often so I'm excited about my fill next week. I am a little frustrated though because I have lost almost 20 lbs but I can't see it. At first I thought it was all water weight but it has stayed off. I thought I would see some sort of difference in my clothes with almost 20 lbs gone but I don't. I am still a little sore around my port area. Does anyone know if that completly goes away or will it always be a little tender.
  11. I love Dr Phil! I love his approach and the way he looks at things. I think he does a lot of good. I also loved how he stood up for WLS and said that in no way was it the easy way out. Go Dr Phil!!!
  12. I'm so glad you asked this! I am having the exact same problem. I'm hoping that once I can eat solid food again it will help but I just don't know. It is especially hard because I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids and they snack. I have a hard time because I'm so use to snacking with them. I MISS MY FOOD! I would love to know how other people deal with it.
  13. I had my surgery on an 16th and I am worried about the same thing. I was doing really well and was not very hungry but I guess my swelling has gone down because I'm hungry all the time. I want to eat normal food so bad. I cheated last night and now I feel horrible about myself. I wish I had words of encouragement for you but I'm having a hard time myself. We just need to get back on track and remember how it will be all worth it for the end result!
  14. down another 3.6 lbs Nadean .......... 204.6 ..... 160 ........ 193.8 .......33.8
