Wow what a story that is. Sounds like you're in the same boat Hanida as I am. It sure is tough right now deciding to do the whole thing all over again. What a nightmare the first round was. I guess this time I better make sure the Dr. is a really good one. It's definitely not going to be the same one again.
Today is the day. Later this morning I go back to the Dr. to see what he has to say about my test results. I expect he will say everything looks pretty good. I'm going to have to show the results to another Dr. out of town because I can't count on this guy to tell me the truth about anything now.
Good luck Hanida on your upcoming surgery!!! I'm ready to have another one as well and get this done right. Getting on the scale now I'm 280. I was 307 to start. I haven't lost much in weeks. The only way I will be able to is a traditional diet. And I have failed at those time and time again throughout my life so I don't have a lot of confidence in that working.

Every morning I have a Protein coffee Latte!
    1 cup Fairlife Skim Milk
1-2 packets instant Starbucks coffee (or instant coffee of choice)
    1/2 C room temp Water
1 scoop Protein Powder of choice
My aborted are pumpkin spice (GNC), Cookies and Cream (muscle Milk) or Vanilla (muscle milk)
Warm the milk in microwave 60 seconds (I do 30 seconds because I do iced coffee)
    Mix in instant coffee--
In a separate container mix Protein Powder with 1/2 cup Water until smooth- (lumps) pour a little of the warm coffee in to bring up the temp of Protein powder-
Than pour protein mix slowly in to coffee while storing to preset any clumps of protein.
Serve hot or pour over ice!
This is my favorite protein shake recipe book! That is where the protein coffee came from!
She also has a blog with free recipes! The

Do you like Iced coffee? I take one Vanilla Premier Protein shake. Add in 1 teaspoon of Decaf Instant coffee Crystals and 1 Truvia. Iced Coffee! YUMMY! Blend it with ice and you have a Frappe.

I hope he allows it. I mean those physicals are pretty basic.
One thing I know are PcPs and reading EKGs is that sometimes they overreact. I have an elderly Man that I take care of, his EKG showed a abnormality and she scared him. Faxed his EKG to his cardio, demanding he have a stress test and once his Cardio saw it...and repeated the EKG he says "there is a small abnormality, but nothing to worry about". Scared a 90 year old for nothing. Having a second pair of eyes will not hurt, especially since he's so against it

Just wondering.......is this doctor unsupportive in general? Does he dismiss your concerns on a regular basis? If you get denied this time around based on his recommendations which you do not agree with, that is the time for a new PCP and a second opinion. You are not stuck with this doctor forever, and his has to cough up your medical records when you demand them. I wish you the best.

I am almost 4 weeks out and I can barely get 500 calories in.
When they said soft foods they mean yogurt, cottage cheese that sort of thing- not soft lean cuisines. In my pre-op education I was told no bread, Pasta, rice.
What are your Protein goals? Are you meeting them?
I hope you can talk with your surgeon/nutritionist ASAP! I agree with others who said go back to the hospital.
I can't even fathom how you could eat 3 lean cuisines in a row after bypass surgery... Mind blown!
I hope they are find out what is going on here--- this doesn't make any kind of sense. ????????

I use MFP but at the end of the day I just don't bother to hit the button about completing the entry, the only purpose that serves is to give an estimate of your projected weight loss at the amount of calories you entered for that day anyway and with being a WLS person that will not be close to accurate. It still shows the totals of all the Proteins and nutrients entered for the day.

I have never seen any information about projected/expected weight loss for bariatric surgery that bases it on initial weight. All of the studies/data I have seen base it on excess weight.

Are you kidding me? Your husband makes you sacrifice your comfort in order to spend time with him? F*ck that! I'd never. He'd never. We'd never.
    They both sound pathetic.

So, next time she does that, ask for a chair and sit at the end of the booth. I bet she will think twice about ignoring your needs.

You ought to scope out restaurants that have tables only and insist on going there next time you "have" to go out with her.
Either that or spike her drink with exlax when she goes to the bathroom. Or "accidentally" knock her drink into her lap with your elbow when you slide into the booth. Or tell your husband to go pound sand next time he wants to invite her. Life's too short to spend it with assholes.

However, it won't be long at this will be a thing of the past. The clothes and fitting in anywhere are the two things I love the most about being a normal size! Sadly, that woman will still be a bitchh.

Solution is actually pretty easy. Next time hubby wants a little 'romance time' cut him off and tell him to go check a local booth for love.

First off, anyone who views the tool WLS provides to lose the weight to have a healthier, better quality of life, is an idiot.
This is not an easy decision to make. It is not an easy way to lose the weight. It is not an easy journey to take.
Is it easier than dieting and exercising? Not if your whole life when every diet and exercising attempt has been a failure.
Do other people lose the weight without surgery? Duh. But those other people are not you, they may have not had your opportunity for WLS. They may not have had the health issues or the emotional issues or the necessities it takes to get approved for surgery.
WLS is a tool. Nothing more. It is not a quick fix. It is not an easy escape. You have to dedicate yourself to a completely different way of life. Many people are ignorant to the facts of WLS and what it requires from those who want it or have had it done.
