Was never given an expectation per week/month by my group. In fact they went out of there to to stress they could not even begin to estimate anticipated weight loss since they've seen to many variables.

I was given a tentative date of Oct 5th while waiting for approval. One thing I can say- is be persistent! I kept calling my insurance company to see if my Dr's office had submitted, and finally called my Dr's office and raised hell. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

I have two!
I had to buy new scrubs for work- an XL because my 3X scrubs were falling off!
I bought a dress from an online retailer (clothes come from China) I bought thinking it would be to small for another month or too- just tried it on today for fun and it fits!!
I am really excited at the changes! I will be 2 months on the 29th- I have lost 26 pounds since surgery- 44 pounds from my first weigh in at surgeon's office.
I included a picture from a week before surgery so you can compete-- I was making a worried face because I didn't want my sister to snap a picture. ????
*my toddler took the picture in the red polka dot dress it explains why I have no head. He is the only one home today to help me with a picture!

My surgeon requires 2 nights. She might have met me go after one, but I live four hours away, so she kept me both required nights, because if there were a complication, she preferred me there!

I can't think of anything..... I followed my pre and postop diets to a T. And since then I don't have a "do not eat"list. Anything and everything in moderation. There is no such thing as cheating in my world, only choices. No guilt, no regrets.

I had my 7 week post-op follow-up yesterday. I am down 4 pant sizes and 65+ lbs since July 4th. I am still doing very well - energy is high and feeling great. I have had a couple "slimming" incidents over the last 3 weeks but mostly due to eating too much too fast.
I hope everyone is doing well and mentally prepared for Thanksgiving! Take it easy on the stuffing!! :-)

thats crazy! I wonder what their plan is after 6 months and people want to get surgery?!?

A lose is a lose eclectick.. Geez.. Thus is a support group no?

Switched programs and it was the best thing I could do. Found out that the one I had been in actually had no surgeons.. hadn't had surgeons for over six months yet the doctors were still seeing new patients.
Things are good. Thanks for all the advice!

I am thankful that while in a stall I tried on a shirt that hadn't fit me three weeks ago. Today it fits perfectly!

it's worse than my Netflix addiction! In fact, I have been watching Netflix for 3 episodes of Longmire, and have no idea what I just watched because I've been catching up on BP!

I think it would be an interesting study to compare WLS patients that frequently engage here versus those that attend support groups versus those that don't seek outside support. This site has been has been absolutely vital to my WLS journey, and I know will play a huge role in my long term success.

So I am not in any social media sites like Facebook or twitter. But I am ADDICTED to Bariactric Pal. I can be on it all day. Researchinh, commenting, reading, liking. Does anyone feel the same way?

Found an interesting review of this surgeon on another site... sounds very familiar.
"My first post op visit I had lost 14 lbs. My 3 month post op visit I had lost a total of 35 lbs. At my 6 month visit I had only lost an additional 3 lbs. I never lost anything after that. Dr. Lucktong told me I wasn't eating right and needed to exercise more. I had a physical demanding job and was doing Water aerobics 4 days per week. When I went back to him 3 years post op I was 25 lbs heavier than my pre surgery weight. He told me that I had stretched my pouch out and insurance would not cover a revision. I asked if I needed to come back anymore and he said no. I am now seeing another surgeon who found gastro gastric fistula and said that my stomach was never completely stapled from my pouc h in the original surgery. Dr. Lucktong wouldn't listen to me and would not even consider the fact that maybe there was something wrong.

ok i have 2 that happened this past weekend. First... I was folding and putting away laundry and i couldnt find my black jeans. i knew i washed them but i couldnt find them anywhere. What joy to find out that i had accidentally put them in my 16 year old daughters pile!! Im not used to my pants looking so small!! Second... I came across an old concert shirt that i had saved from 1995. Never ever did i think i would ever wear that shirt again. i was holding onto it for memories. i thought what the heck i'll try it on. i honestly thought it would be too tight or wouldnt fit at all. But no!! Not only did it fit its a little big on me!!! Needless to say i have been rockin my Tom Petty shirt ever since!! My kids think im crazy lol!!

Yep. I am thinking she feels threatened. Like you don't love her for her.
