It is such a learning thing. And as you know somedays you can eat a lot more than other days. I rely on my watch and portion size. For instance I will take a chicken cutlet and cut it in half to make it thin but still the same size width wize. I will take a few veggies and some tye of starch if I have it here. I eat all of the chicken and by the time I am finished with that I usually have taken 20 minutes and I'm no longer hungry. I may have a bite of the veggies and starch but thats about it. BUT if I get hiccups at anytime during the meal I slow way down or stop because a PB will come if I don't. Everyone is differen't and you really have to listen to your body and relearn.

Hey Anne Welcome, Dont worry your not long winded on here. I know of people who have had under 40 BMI's and been approved for the band. It is a tough one and you may have to fight for it, but don't give up. I felt the same way you do about the RNY surgery. To me it just wasn't worth it. I am just a few days shy of 14 months with my band. It is the best thing I have ever done in my life. It is no picnic though. The head stuff and why we eat is something that we all have to deal with, I think for life. Best of luck to you and please keep us posted on how things go.

Well the tree got up yesterday I still have boxes out but I am exhausted! In-laws left and now it's just us and Mommom here. I ate to much stuffing and apple pie! Today I only had liquids until around 6 then I ate left over's and a piece of pie and 2 ww chocolates. Tuesday I go to lapband Dr I haven't seen him since the begging of Sept. I know the scale isn't going to be great there because Tom is coming on Saturday if he is on schedule like he usually is! So Saturday when he arrives I will be flying to Cancun! Did I tell you guys? My sister is taking me. We will be wined and dined for 4 days they are paying for everything! I'm so excited! I just wish I'd have a few hours with DH before I leave but he's gone again all week and not coming home until late Friday night. Mommom leaves on Tuesday. We have had such a nice time. As I've said before she is incredible! My MIL is17 yrs younger and you'd think she was the 98 year old! And she eats like you can't believe! We all need to take lessons from her! She eats so much fruit..WOW..I've never heard of anyone that eats healthier than her! Well I'm hoping that tomorrow and Monday I can eat really good so I go down for my appointment on Tuesday. You know me and the scale I always freak out about it. Speaking of that have any of you seen the show Thin on HBO? Sherry-I love that you sing while on line. Does anyone ever join in? 3 times I have asked DD and DH to get me 1 orange just 1 so that I could make my sweet potato casserol and be done with it and a total of 5 visits to the store I still don't have my freakin orange..lol.. Eileen feel better sorry I never even got that recipe! night night..

Well I went to PCP yesterday and as you saw on Saturday Kathy, became emotional. This was good though he needs to see how nuts I am. He referred me to a PS he said that there are only 2 in Charlotte that he would recommend. One of them is about 6 miles from home so I went in and made an appointment. I'll be going on Dec 18th for my first consult. He also told me that it should be covered no problem by the insurance. As far as boobs getting smaller, for me no they haven't. I was a 48 DDD and stayed DDD until about a 38 then went to a FF until now 34G when the band goes down the cup goes up. Very confusing I think. Beanie I don't think I could find a sports bra comfortable enough to sleep in. Walmart doesn't go much past D's. The reduction idea is getting more comfortable everyday due to the fact that I'm getting more uncomfortable! I'll keep you posted.

WOW you've done great! And welcome to LBT. I have pain and recently discovered that it has to due with my bra. The wire pressing down which in turn presses down on my port. I am looking into a reduction. If your surgeon is suggesting moving the port, why wouldn't you want to do that. I know more surgery stinks, however it might just solve your problem. Perhaps you are eating to fast. With my last fill I now have to give myself a full 30 minutes to eat a meal! It really gets long sometimes, but it is not worth messing my insides up.

Well I went to the Dr. yesterday. I'm down 4 pounds in 4 weeks according to his scale! We talked for a while and he has referred me to a PS for a reduction. He said it will help my back pain and everything else. He said the insurance shouldn't give me a hard time at all. So on the 18th I go meet with the surgeon. I will go for a consult with another one he referred me to also. He said there are only 2 in Charlotte that he would recommend. The one is about 6 miles from my house so that is the one I have an appointment with not he 18th. I have mixed feeling but I know I really need to take care of this! Mommom just goes and goes! I'm an old lady compared to her..urgh..did I tell you guys about our water main breaking! We have had a horrible storm her yesterday and today so the plumber won't be able to come until Monday. Anyway I knew that she was getting some flowers, and we got home and I opened the front door only to find a massive about of water and a water fall coming out from under my dining room window! Well you all know I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown so this is not a good situation!! Anyway to make a long story short. I got the man across the street to come over and turn off the main valve by the road. The main broke and that's why 8 million gallons of water is on my yard! Well DH is on the phone and telling me that he that everything is going to be ok! He went to Lowes and brought some kind of valve and connected it to our neighbors house and now we have water! I also found out from my friend that they had the same thing happen this summer and it cost them under $300 to fix, I was thinking thousands! PRAISE THE LORD!!! So I have a call into the Plummer that takes AMEX..lol..and hopefully he will be able to come out tomorrow or Wednesday and fix us up. I really wanted a drink to relax but I'm so anal about the scale and tomorrow I go see my PCP that I didn't have one! Anyway we had friends over to celebrate Mommoms birthday. She loves this couple and she was so thrilled that they came and we had such a nice night for her. She brings tears to my eyes, tears of joy. Have a good night and I'll see ya'll tomorrow

Well things have been crazy around here. And I think they will be getting crazier! Tomorrow is my DGM's 98th BD yes 98. She flew here by herself on Wednesday. She is amazing! I think I told you all this already if I did sorry..Tomorrow I'm have some friends over for dinner to celebrate, Tuesday the cleaning lady come and Wednesday my nephew and his family, and my in-laws all come. DH will be going out of town tomorrow for the day and then leaving again Tuesday morning and coming home Wednesday night..WTF I'm getting sick of all this travel chit but I'm to tired to go there. I have been tense and anxious and teary. Going to Dr on Tuesday to say HELP ME IM GOING INSANE! Meet the NC Laplanders yesterday and had a really nice time. I keep telling them they need to come hang out with us. Wow Thanks everyone. Myra I'm glad yoru DD is doing so well. I go to my PCP on Tuesday and I plan on telling him that it is time for him to help me out and recommend a reduction. So far everyone I have spoken to has said that they are thrilled they did it. Thanks for bringing up the proportion issure Chrispy. I never looked at it that way and it sure does make a lot of sense! WOW so many MIL problems! I'm very lucky. We did have a period when things we not good but all if good now. I feel bad for all the kids involved. Eileen- We are coming to NJ Oakland on the 21 and 22nd for a little while. Time is nuts as you know, but I'm hoping that Saturday morning I can sneak out and meet you for a little while!
