  1. I have had my band for one year now though it doesn't seem that long at all!! I have reached my goal weight and have been maintaining so far. This forum is a wonderful source of support and answers. Thank you all for being here.
  2. My niece, who is 15 and extremely intelligent, was flipping through a magazine while talking to me. She came across a picure of Elton John and said, "You know its just so sad that he is blind." I asked her what she was talking about. She looked at me just as serious as she could be and began to explain to me that it was obvious that he was blind by the way that he dressed and that with as much money as he has surely he could afford to hire someone with better taste. She looks at me and says, "Its just so sad to see people with disabilities be mistreated."
  3. I'm at 3cc. This has been my sweet spot! Don't think I could stand any more.
  4. 8 pounds in two in a half weeks is not too shabby. I didn't lose quickly at all until i started getting fills and hit my sweet spot. Don't get discouraged! The weight will be falling off in no time!
  5. :clap2: WooHoo!! Congrats on your NSVs!!:clap2:
  6. I was banded by Dr. Sanchez in Monterrey MX. He and his staff are wonderful. Being banded a great experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
  7. I just thought I worked with some screwed up people. It would be so entertaining at y'alls jobs.
  8. Step away from the scales!! I did the whole weighing my self daily and just about went insane & got so discouraged. I finally decided once a week would be suficient, but that didn't last long. So, I used jeans to measure if I had lost weight or not. When I got into a new size, I'd weigh myself. I care more about what I look like in my jeans than what is on my scales anyway.
  9. Dr. Sanchez and his staff are awesome. Everyone there was so sweet and caring during my entire stay.
  10. I've had this happen to me several times and although I'm flattered, my self esteem has grown to the point of I know I can do better than somebody who is hung up on outward apperances. Of course, I just politely turn them down but don't tell them why.
  11. I haven't had any problem and I live in North Louisiana. If i don't have any problem here, you shouldn't have problem else where. Fills in my area have been anywhere from $150-$450. Fills with flouro run higher but have been worth it.
  12. I went through the same thing. The 2-3 weeks before my 1st fill I was paniced. I just knew I would be one of the ones the band wouldn't work on or that something was wrong with my band. I've since had two fills and am doing great with my band. Hang in there!
  13. Dr. Sanchez did my band for me. I am extremely pleased with my band. He and his staff are wonderful.
  14. Open the capsules and put the medicine in to a drink. I have to either do that or crush mine up circa childhood.
  15. I went sight seeing and shopping the day after surgery. I did over do it a little and was sore & tired the day after that.
