I had my surgery in March, I don;t know whats going on I have the CONSTANT urge to burp

Im only 35 pounds down since March 25th:thumbdown: Ok I guees its ok, but not what I expected

I can't deal? I have been stuck before but was always able to get it back up by a PB ot the old finger down the throat routine well I took an aleve yesterday and I feel like it may be stuck but I have no pain and I cant still eat IM JUST BURBING 24/7!! I almost feel like if I could get one big burp it would be better. Could my poet have slipped?

it took 4 fills until I had pretty good restriction. I had only lost 25 pounds up until then, got my last fill and dropped 8 pounds in like a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really is working. I was very discouraged in the beginning with my slow weight loss but I kept at it and coupld not be happier went from 211....to 190's...to 180's and as of today 179!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this has been since 3/25 of this year. just wanted to tell anyone trying to decide whether to get he band...DO IT, you will not regret it

I was banded 3/25 Lost 23-25 pounds as of last week, I just had a fill this past Monday and lost 7 pounds (in 5 days!!!) So Im officially at a 30 pound weight loss and I am thrilled!!!! :sad::thumbup:

I had an ensure and was able to eat some salad and a piece of grilled chicken breast!! Thanks for the support

Thanks I think I may be a tad to tight, Im drinking a Protein shake now. feeling a bit weak:bored: My dr is not back in the office until tuesday:unsure:

I can pretty much eat everything but in small bites, like one bite of a meatball, a mouthful of pasta and thats it

my weight loss has been on the slow side. up until last week I had lost approximately 23 pounds since march 25th. WELL, I just had my fourth fill on Monday and as of today have lost 7 pounds (in five days) Im not complaining about the weight loss but Im worried about it being healthy

Does anyone else have this? Somedays I can eat like I never had the band and then it fill like I have a lot of restriction?? It even changes throughout the day..Sometimes Breakfast goes down fine and then I have huge restriction at dinner. I can't even say it's becuase it is different types of food because sometimes even the sames food change. I hope this makes sense? I wanna go for a fill but Im not sure if i need one BTW I had sx 3/25/09 and am down 26 pounds:sad:

why does the effectiveness of a fill wear off after just a little while? I had my 3rd fill one week ago tomorrow, I had great restriction for the first time and was feeling excited but over the last couple of days I find myself being able to eat more what gives?

:tongue: sometimes it really bothers me not to be able and sit and eat like I used to. It is more difficult then I thought at times The only thing that makes me feel better is when I hop on the scale in the morning and see the numbers going down:thumbup:

your band may be very tight, call your dr and ask if there is saline in your band already

wow, you guys are doing great! i was banded at 211 and now weigh 187.5:biggrin: i really just started loosing after my third fill so it took me awhile:tongue_smilie:

that really stinks!! But you can't change it so try to happy you took your health into your own hands and didnt wait for someone to give it to you

Hello there, I was 5' 4" and 211 pounds and had the band done on 3/25/09. Im down 23 pounds and couldnt be happier. I was soooooooooo afraid of regretting it but I feel like Ive started a whole new life

I feel like my recovery was very easy BUT in no way would I have been able to go back to work that soon. Not just from the surgery but the anesthsia

I have no idea what is charged to the insurance

Yeah, I only have $5.00 copay, some people have to pay $50 for a fill

it's not an extra charge

I didn't realize that most Dr's do not do it at each fill My dr has me drink the barium before, does the fill and then has me drink the soultion and i get to watch it go through. It's cool to see the band and everything.

the fills are NOTHING!! My dr does not use a pain killer and honestly I dont think you need one. It is over in 20 seconds!!! I drink the barium for a before shot, I lay on my back, push my stomach out and she quiclkly injects the saline, it feels like nothing more then if someone pinches your skin with their fingers (maybe not even that bad) The I get another upper GI to see the restriction
