I don't get it

why does the effectiveness of a fill wear off after just a little while?

I had my 3rd fill one week ago tomorrow, I had great restriction for the first time and was feeling excited but over the last couple of days I find myself being able to eat more

what gives?

As you lose fat around your stomach your band will get more loose. Or, you could have had a bit of swelling from your fill and it went down after a bit. That is why most people keep needing fills along the journey. Unfortunate, but necessary.

Right after a fill, most people have swelling and irritation. That's why most docs advise liquids for the first day after a fill, then mushies, then back to real food. However, as the swelling goes down, so does some of the restriction.
