  1. Hi. I'm Don's wife. Today we heard Medicare paid and so now Federal Blue Cross/Blue Sheild will pay the rest. Also Don will need to put a new photo of him self on here because he looks different. He's wearing cloths that he hasn't worn in yearrs! Nina
  2. "I have never stopped drinking coffee  " My husband Don still drinks coffee. It is half decaf ,half regukar coffee. He drinks very little though. It hasn't bother him. I'd go by how your body feels. Nina
  3. "Like now I eat only dark chicken meat because breasts are too dry. " I think the trick to getting moist chicken brest just right is cooking at lower tempertures and for shorter times. Don't leave the kitchen and keep checking it. I'd cover it also. If you flatten the chicken or butterfly it it will be uniform in thinkmess. That helps to get it just right. I do not like dry and tough chicken brest! :-( Nina
  4. My husband had the realize band on the 28th of October. Maybe he will check this thread out. He weighed in this morning at 249 pounds. His highist weight was 268 pounds. He is still in the full liquid stage. Nina
  5. My husband had his surgery on the 28, the same day as yours. He is 66 years old. He has the gas still also. I was thinking I'd give him a rub down. Is lotion ok? In the hospital they said they could not wear any. He is walking some. I don't think he wants to take Gas-X. I hope things will go well for you and everyone here on Lap Band Talk. Nina

I want one of those thingies that keep tract of all your walking, a pedomitor. I'll have to get a nice diary that has some kind of organization in it casue my brain is in a fog!!! My recipes need to stay simple too! I'm wanting to drop the Water pill so bad!!!! All this peeing is driving me crazy!!! When I mentioned the stress I've been under that is only just the tip of the iceburg! My whole life has been stressful from birth! Nina
  11. I'll see how Don goes first. I've been through major surgery. I had a hysterectomy. A doctor we just saw said something about if you've had any surgery in the stomach that this would effect things. I'm not sure what that means for me. It's supper time here. That roaring lyon is roaring!!! Feed me!!! :angry Feed me! I hate that! I'm a good cook to and that is not good! :hungry: How to get through the holidays?! See ya! Nina :car:
  12. Hello, I'll be 63 this coming December 11th. My BMI is around 38 that last time I checked. My Hubby is trying for the Lap Band first. I think that if we have several health issues this will help us get the surgery. My Hubby is Diabetic. I'm not but could very easily become one. My Dad died at 52 years of age and also all his 7 brothers died young, so it's in the family to die young of heart attacks! My grnadmother on my father's side was short and was over 350 pounds! She still lived till 72 years. I hope you will get the Lap Band! Our insurance doesn't cover prevention, only after that fact!!! :angry They are so evil!!! Take care,:kiss2: Nina
  13. Hello, I found it! The words for posting a new thread! LOL!:faint: Thanks for your help.:clap2::bounce::whoo::kiss2: Nina
