Pill crushing
I was told I could not swallow anything larger than a plain M&M (chocolate, great example, that melts in your mouth - not in your hands!). I break my BP & Citracal petites in half. the rest are smaller or chewable. No gummies.

First soft meal after liquids
for a bit yes - I am almost five weeks out and I am not able to eat a lot 8 - 10 (small fork) and then I am done (maybe 1/2 cup). The variety of more foods is nice and I don't want to waste my "bites" to junk :/

Phentermine
I took it about 5 years ago and never adapted to the jittery feeling and heart racing - mine went in the trash.

Surgery was on a Thursday and coughing was not in the plans
staying hydrated, for me, is hard to do. I am not allowed to have a drink in my work area.

Almost time T- 2 hours
Good Luck and let us know as soon as you can how you are doing. I hear the same thing when people find out how much I weigh. I am tired of dragging the extra weight and adding to it to where I cannot function.

Food day @ work...HELP
@@crazyffhfan I gave into my temptation and bought pizza a couple of Fridays ago on the way home from work. I am 4weeks 2 days out and haven't had it since March and thought "just one thin slice..." well, I got thin crust and the narrowest strip and took a bite and....nothing. I chewed it and then tried a couple of more bites. Ate about 3 and spit one out. I had my "moment" and I am over it. @2bullymom - throw it in the trash.

Three Months Out
I have been lucky too with not having major issues with food and recovery. Sounds like you have it going pretty good. I plan to do the same eat smarter and live.

What's the main difference between the Sleeve and Bypass?
@@courtcourt90 - research and talk to your doctor he/she may decide for you. Reading here on both forums will give you some insight into someone's personal experience but we all are affected differently by the same surgery. All in all - WLS is a TOOL - you can use it the right way or not, you have to live with the results.

STEVIA SWEETENER
I decided I wouldn't do either. I didn't like the taste

Pre op weight
@@sugabear44 - give yourself sometime and try to stay off the scale. stay hydrated and on program - it will catch up.

No Roux n y per MD yesterday - Sleeve
@@LipstickLady - I feel the same way about "bold and flavorful" choices I find that if it doesn't have a bold (strong) taste or flavorful (spicy or seasoned) I just don't see the point. So I don't eat it.

August sleevers
@@perk4756 depends on your insurance requirements unless you are self pay. after I completed the required BCBS Fed stuff I got approval letter in the mail and was in surgery within the next 30 days. I had to schedule a pre-surgery appointment. I opted to wait one week as well.

June 30th surgery date
@@TeeKM congrats on getting your surgical date!

Finally got my date !
I think a lot of us felt that way ~ - I have the surgical date! - Huh? OMG can I go thru with the surgery? Make sure you are mentally and physically ready. research and follow all the of the doctors orders. hydrate up until the LAST minute - waiting for the leak test was insane for me.

When did your 2nd stall hit?
@@boosh10 - I just got out of my three week stall. I don't want to do another one :/

7 weeks- no loss
@@Yrkybarry just had first visit with doctor post-op on Tuesday and he said try to eat only two meals and if I am hungry (not thirsty - drink first to see if you are truly hungry) I could eat fruit or vegetables as much as I wanted. I finished the rest of my day doing that and yesterday and the scale moved today. I rounded up, my scale can reflect 239.5, so tomorrow if I weigh 239 I will officially be in the 230s!!!!

One month post op
@@NewNewMe - I was sleeved 5/6 and I hit a week stall that ended today. The hydration is the only real issue I have had as far as intake. Having bathroom issues again and the Miralax seems to do nothing.
