  1. @@mb1o27 check with your NUT. scrambled eggs was what I had for my first real food. I was on pureed or soft on day 3.
  2. @@Inner Surfer Girl I am like you. I struggled to maintain my weight pre-surgery and that scared the carp out of me.
  3. awesome. I am hoping to be there next month!
  4. I dream of being the "amount of trash that you throw away in a month" this is great for a Friday after reading some of the posts from yesterday... thanks @@Debbie623
  5. ROTFLMAO - an elephants penis! I am happy about that! Its kind of weird to say that though
  6. miralax is what I add to my coffee, Protein drink or yogurt just about everyday. I have also bumped up my Fiber intake and that has also meant more calories (200 roughly more per day). My weightloss has slowed a bit I think because of the slight increase in calories but I hated the feeling of "fullness" that the miralax didn't quite help.
  7. I am happy to be out of the 42k's and into 38Fs!
  8. I kept it to just a handful of people at work. now I am getting asked daily what I am doing to lose the weight. I have since Friday of last week told anyone who asked me about my WLS. I have only had 2 tell me horror stories so far about their wives bypass.....
  9. scrambled eggs with cheese! first real food post surgery on day 3, it was yummy.
  10. I season the neck out of everything I eat. I don't salt everything, but I do add chili pepper, wasabi, black pepper, ms dash etc.
  11. May want to eat a little less and walk around after eating. it will get better
  12. no I didn't have any swelling actually. my legs ached from the compression cuffs though.
  13. I just mushed the sweet potatoes out of the can. I drained the juice.
  14. hang in there your new birthday is right around the corner!
  15. mine was healed and glue gone about 2-1/2 weeks.
  16. sorry kid I agree with the others. I think up did rush into something and now you have buyers remorse. so.....are you gonna lose the weight you have put back on by going back to basics as a sleever or just sit back (not workout like us old farts do, right) and whine about it. old people over 45 like me do workout, lift weights and eat right to help the tool we chose as a WLS patient.
  17. I have used both RTD and Protein mixes and haven't had any issues with bathroom trips. Did you mix fruit or juice with the protein mix? I was thinking too much sugar causing the urgent trip to the loo! I either mix with yogurt, Water or skim milk. I occasionally has put an ounce or so of juice for flavor (orange juice) to plain yogurt.
  18. I didn't blend as much as I chewed. make healthy smart choices and chew well. Don't expect to eat a lot either
  19. being mobile will also help with the cramping. even walking just around the house. hydrate like everyone else mentioned as well. good luck!
  20. @@cole225 - I have done it twice and it was only one extra bite of food. It was uncomfortable in my throat. I sit my fork down and chew in between bites. I even think its one too many (I pit into a napkin).
  21. @@downsizingdebs - I have the same situation been full figured since I was in junior high - I started wearing a bra in 4th grade.
  22. @@Klohebaby - Welcome! Congrats on the 26 lbs!!!!! The Water issue is easy for some and not for others. I go no where without a bottle to sip.
  23. @ - have you had bloodwork done recently? may need to bump up vitamins, maybe even protein/calories a bit. Call your NUT.
