What Is Your Thanksgiving Workout?
I'm expecting the group fitness classes at my gym to be canceled so I'm planning on taking a nice walk, maybe a bike ride if it's not too cold.

Project Runway, Fashion, and Plus Sizes
Not if Heidi likes you. Let us not forget season 9 winner Anya. A former beauty queen who could barely sew. That's when I finally accepted the fact the PR is little more than a game show/reality tv competition. For actual talent I watch Face Off. I am amazed at the skill they show.

Recommendation for hummus
Just checked this link. The ingredients are chickpea flour, sea salt, tahini, garlic & lemon flavorings, carrageen and citric acid. So pretty much what I stated above. I've never tried it, but the ingredients aren't horrible if you aren't against eating foods with carregeen in it. Price wise it's a rip off considering a can of chickpeas cost like $.69.

Recommendation for hummus
I like the Sabra as well. However if you're going to mix something basic hummus is only 3 or 4 ingredients. One can of chickpeas, rinsed & drained, 1 tsp of tahini, glove of garlic, olive oil. Blend everything in a food processor, salt, pepper to taste. Some add a splash of lemon. You can add roasted peppers, cilantro, etc...To store put in a container and cover the top with olive oil. The powder stuff is probably powdered chickpeas with a bunch of fillers.

Is bariatric surgery right for me?
Whether or not you choose to have surgery, I would recommend seeing a therapist to deal with binge eating. In the event you do have the surgery having therapeutic support would be an asset.

Protein intake vs. being full?
Listening to your body. Many of us got where we needed surgery by pushing past that fll feeling. If you are concerned about hitting your protein, switch things up. Add a bit greek yogurt to your Protein shake. *Flavor your Water with a Protein Drink like Isopure NoCarb or Syntrax Nectars. Plan for 3 meals and 2 Snacks instead of 3 big meals. It will allow you to get in more protein without pushing your limits. *Isopure Nocarb drinks are 40gms of protein for 20 ounces. I divide the bottle into 3 parts. I use my 24 ounce water bottle. I try to drink 24 ounces 3 times a day. I add the Isopure and carry my bottles everywhere and sip whenever I am not eating. It makes meeting protein & Fluid goals easy.

Where to buy isopure?
Pretty much everywhere. Brick and mortar you can buy them at GNC or Vitamin Shoppe, online you can buy directly from Isopure or any of the retailers listed above. Just google Isopure NoCarb drinks. GNC & Vitamin Shoppe have frequent shopper cards that may office discounts and sales alerts. I have both. I find it easier to buy by the case and have them delivered since the glass bottles are heavy.

Ok question
That may be your full cue. I burp when I'm full. Sometimes really loudly. Grazing was an issue for me as well. It's one of the reasons why I had to plan at least an afternoon snack. I also find that cucumbers help me if I get the late night munchies. I like them with a dash of lime & sriracha so it's never more then 4 or 5 calories a portion. Early on a cup of herbal tea would help.

Quest Bar
I don't really overly concern myself with carbs. As long as the source of the carbs is good ( as in not processed or overly refined foods), I don't worry. I tend to stick to all natural bars like KIND , Larabar and Cliff bars. It hasn't negatively effected my weight loss in the least.

Weight loss surgery and mental health.
Go see the surgeon. Be upfront about your mental health issues. If you are approved make sure to have supports in place in case the rapid weight loss makes causes a spike in your MH issues. This could be anything from increased therapy sessions to a change in meds.

My Gastric Sleeve Nightmare.... I still haven't woken up!
The Mayo clinic is where you want to go. I have a friend who has something called Dysautonomia. It is also rare and came seemingly out of the blue. She is not a bariatric patient. She has some of the muscular weakness and autoimmune issues you mention. This is well beyond my scope of knowledge but from all that I have heard, Mayo is the best place to find a solution.

Apple Cider Vinegar
At 2 years post op I doubt it would hurt. I use acv regularly but not daily.

BM?
I just make sure to have enough good fiber in my body that I can go naturally. You can add a tsp of wheat germ, flax powder or psyllium to your protein shakes each day until you can add fresh fruit and veg back into your diet.

Opinion on pecans- nuts
If it's a temptation for you I would leave them alone or ask hubby to not bring them in the house
-
BM?
My doctor puts his patients on a 30 day course of colace. It helps get the body back to normal. My initial BM wasn't painful at all. It wasn't loose either, just really small.

Any Philadelphia Sleevers
I used Penn & agree Dr. Williams is one of the best. I had a really positive experience there from start to finish.

BM?
Day 5 and I've gone at least once a day every day since.

Got my date, feeling worried!
You feelings are not unusual. Many have them. It's a new body that for some may mean learning an new way of life. If you are feeling really nervous, you may want to seek out counseling.

Opinion on pecans- nuts
I often have an ounce of nuts as an afternoon snack or post workout recovery food. I stick to dry roasted or raw almonds, pistachios, or cashews. I've had macadamia nuts once since surgery. They were a gift from a friend who went to Hawaii. Talk this over with your nutritionist. She can give you a guideline of which ones are okay and in what amounts. I can't keep them in the house though. I go to the store and buy the single serving packs whenever I want them because If I have them, I will eat them all.

"Don't do that!"
From some uninformed random? I wouldn't pay it any mind.

I found my protein!
t Practice now. Pre-op we were instructed to practice taking really small bites and eating slow & sipping slowly when drinking. It made it easier postop
-
How Long Should I wait?
. Talk to your doctor and see what he says then listen to your body. I had an easy surgical experience and went back to Water aerobics at 3 weeks with no restrictions.

FOR MY FAMILY!

I found my protein!
@@Charlotte'sMom - I use the coconut and ice tea flavors. I use 1 a day. Split it in 3 parts and add it to my water. I refill a 24 ounce water bottle 3 times a day & carry them everywhere. I get in my protein and fluid. Combined with any food I eat, I easily hit 100gms protein each day.
