Can you eat ham? I like ham for breakfast.

my body "rejected" the band - REMOVED!
I am glad you are having a better experience, I don't understand why your Dr. wouldn't listen to you but I'm glad you found one that did.

Eggs - A Change of Heart

How many Wardrobes have you gone through?
So when I began this I was in a tight 28 now depending on how they are made I can wear an 18-22, This is starting to get expensive, I know I can go the thrift stores, there are times though even that is a bit much but my clothes are gettng really baggy, I'm not complaining it's not the world's most horrible problem, any advice on where to get decent clothes really cheap.

Soft foods/weight gain?
I didn't gain weight on soft foods but I didn't really lose much either, try not to stress over it. I ate a whole tub of cottage cheese when i was allowed back on them

Has weight loss/surgery turned me crazy?
I find that when I'm around some of my trigger foods I get cranky I've decided it's like a food addicts way of jonesing, I'm glad I read this, because I posted this in another group I'm in for depression about this same issue. I did read that when we are losing a lot of weight our hormones are actually fluctuating quite a bit which can cause mood swings.

Severe Constipation: Advice Please
twice I had a near impaction, at the risk of TMI here I had to use KY Jelly and was sore for 2 wks after, this was on liquids too which surprised me, I now drink miralax once a week and my Dr. told me to increase my Water, have you thought about Fiber gummies?

I'm not RIGHT, you're not WRONG, WE ARE DIFFERENT.
@@LipstickLady I love the part about you weighing yourself, I so do the same things. I also wear the same clothes to my weigh ins cause I know exactly how much I will weigh when they adjust for clothing lol.

I'm not RIGHT, you're not WRONG, WE ARE DIFFERENT.
Sorry just don't agree. Yeah my philosophy is take it with a grain of salt. We are all different and some of us have had different surgeries even, but we all had WLS for the same reason. So we all know what it's like to be obese, so let's just support each other the best way we know how.

Support...Struggling to be supportive!
I agree with those suggesting marriage counseling or couples therapy, the one thing I want to adress for you a bit, is you being against surgery after he has tried and failed and tried and failed. If he could make those diets work for him and maintain, he would have done it by now, he is 30, I wish i could have done it when I was 30, think of how much longer you will get to enjoy him when his health issues are resolved. I am 38 and Got heavy around the time I hit 21 losing weight and gaining it back is my specialty, WLS can be a big motivator in keeping the weight off because you've gone through all this trouble even risking your life a bit to lose weight, most people do not have surgery unless they are serious about losing the weight. As for your finacial issues I won't speak to those, I understand your frustrations there, and that's the main reason I say I agree with couples therapy. Good luck.

TV Shows - What are you watching ?
I don't get to watch much TV, and not sure I want to admit to anyone, that I like Dance Moms, My 600lb life, and most shows on lifetime on Tuesday nights lol, Tuesdays are my night the rest of the time the kids pretty much are watching Star Wars and Dog with a Blog.

Excess Skin
I'm nearly at 100lb weight loss and can tell I'm going to have excess skin. I feel so much better though. I'm hoping my insurance will cover skin surgery when I get to that point, but I think it might for me have to be one more thing that is just worth it. From what I understand, the younger you are, the slower and steadier the weight loss the better this issue is. I'm 38 and was pretty big so I know I'm going to have this issue.

Does anyone else have an exercise peak?
I like to exercise between 1-3pm before the kids get home from school it's just easier. and if I wait until later I feel sluggish for some reason.

7 Days Post Op and all is okay!

QUEEN OF DENIAL
@@Jim1967 I wish the loose skin surgery was covered, mine doesn't cover it, of course I've got a ways to go before I worry about it, but I can already tell my upper legs are going to look really baggy if I lose the weight I want to lose.
-
Self Control ?
@@JustWatchMe oh absolutely he works hard I wasn't argueing with him, I actually want what he's got. @@Jim1967 I understand this head hunger right now because I'm just starting out, I've actually cried I wanted something so bad but knew that I had just eaten that I was not physically hungry I want that to go away so bad, I hope it gets easier. Sometimes I get so scared that I'm going to go back to my old ways cause I used to eat myself into discomfort, before the band I even had stomach issues and there was food that would hurt me before the band and I ate despite the pain so sometimes I'm really scared. People don't realize food really is a drug for some of us, I'm tearing up now just typing this. I want counseling but my insurance wont cover it for some reason.

Gaining weight
@@twztdzsgrl i am sorry I was looking off to the side and read you gained 2lbs, not that 8 is really horrible but given your situation I can understand your frustration. My aunt when she had cancer, took some treatments that actually caused her to gain weight. Have you talked to your Dr. maybe he can see you before 4 weeks is up if you explain the situation. Hope it works out for you.

Starting over...
Call your Dr. at least let him know. Don't be embarassed you can't undo what you did, just move forward, My Dr. was upset with me for eating muddy buddy chex mix 1 month after my surgery so mentally prepare yourself, he might lecture you, don't let that stop you from going though, it's not pleasant to have someone tell you what you already know, but it's not the end of the world, my guess is your Dr. wants to see you succeed as much as you want to succeed. I'm not saying eating all that was okay right after surgery, it was risky, but your not the 1st one to do it or the last. Good luck.
