  1. wow! You all are wonderful. one more question for you all... So If I were to get a lap-band out of state, do you think I would have trouble finding a surgeon back home to do my fills? If you were in my shoes, would you in some ways lean towards a sleeve gastrectomy? What are your thoughts?

  3. Hi everyone! I have a question that hopefully you all can help me with. I have a BMI of 31 and understand that I would be a self-pay patient for WLS. However, I live in Minnesota and am having trouble finding a good surgeon that will agree to do the LapBand surgery on me. I only have one co-morbidity that being high blood pressure. Could I get some recommendations on where I can find a doctor that would be willing to help me but who is also experienced and skilled? I am willing to travel wherever, just not Mexico . . I appreciate any advice! Thank you
  4. good luck tangoswithsquirrels! thoughts and prayers are with you!!
  5. Hi everyone! Firstly, it has been so ridiculously helpful reading everyone's posts and advice! You've helped me come to my decision I am getting sleeved next month but I am going against my family's thoughts and advice. Both of my parents are in the medical field and believe that the risks are far too great. I am a lower BMI patient (32) and they think that this is a rash decision. We've discussed the issue over and over, but they cannot seem to understand my point of view. I feel horrible going through with this surgery when I don't have my family's support. In my heart, I know it is the right thing to do (as cheesy as that sounds). Any advice? or reassurance ? :-) would be greatly appreicated -- feel free to PM
