Slow, slow, and slower! Pounds are wanting to stay!
7 weeks PO and down 33 pounds. I know those are GREAT numbers, and I'm so thankful to be feeling better. But the last month has been a slow and stop month! Maybe 9 pounds. The rest was all in the 1st few weeks. I know eventually it will come off. I am following the rules. I do need to drink more water, and I struggle to hit my 60g of protein but I manage. My dear husband decided he would lose weight with me... No surgery and of course he PASSED me up yesterday dropping 35 pounds (ugh men..*eyeroll*) lol anyways just venting. It seems to make me feel better when I have someone to vent to! And PS. I really am proud of my hubby. Didn't want that to sound bad ????????????

I won't touch it. My sister had bypass and didn't give it up... She gained all of her weight back. Stretched her stomach back out. Dr. Said that was why! So no no no carbonation fory sleeved tummy.

Your NOT alone. I am 6 weeks PO and I have only lost 30. 10 of which was pre-op diet. I haven't really lost in 3 weeks. A pound or 2. That's Ok! Our bodies are still in shock and adjusting to our new calorie intake. Drink drink drink water and push protein. U will jump over this hurdle. As will I

5foot 210 should I have the procedure?
My Dr told me I would most likely lose 75% of my excess body weight. I started out at 275 pounds. I am only 4'11.5. My BMI was 53!!! So 75% of 145 pounds of excess body weight. So close to 100 pounds. Of course anyone can exceed expectations. But they can also fall short. You still need to exercise, and make healthy eating choices.

How long was your liquid stage?
I was surprised at the fluctuation too. But maybe some cases are different. My surgeon says your body needs the nutrition from food so he pushes for that. I think a month of liquids is insane personally. Not much nutritional value in broth.
-
How long was your liquid stage?
Clear liquid 1 day PO Full liquids 10-14days as tolerated Mash/soft 10-14 days as tolerated. At 1 month PO I was on my forever diet. I'm 5.5 weeks out and can eat anything now.

Normal or not? 6 weeks post op

So how much have you lost weekly
I'm struggling jumping over my 31 pound mark. I'm 5 weeks PO and the past 2 weeks have been reeeeaaaal slow. Hoping to overcome it. Increased protein yesterday. Hoping to see a number drop. But I still feel great so no complaints!

My weight loss journey
I also use my fitness pal. Everyday! I had zero down time with my surgery. I was up and going the day of my release. I did try to take it easy but could do everything independently. I didn't even take pain medication. Good luck to you with your journey!
