  1. Yes my NUT told me to avoid "fat free" foods actually. To look at sugar grams per serving. Needed to be less than 10.
  2. I would say at this point where we are trying to get enough calories I don't think fat free cheese is needed. We can have string cheese that's not fat free. We still need to get in enough calories to maintain a weightloss I don't think either way is technically wrong.
  3. Mine was at least a few days before. I was on my last day when I left the hospital. Thank goodness.
  4. I feel it only if I go too fast. Or if it's a more chunky or thick soup.
  5. And I don't care about scarring. lol my stomach is a road map of stretch marks. So a few more little marks won't hurt
  6. Oh no the premier chocolate is the only ones I can stand. Not sure what I will do if I can't anymore!
  7. I had steri strips. I also had a umbilical hernia repair which they used the glue. It looks kinda icky. But the others all look fine. All steri strips are finally off. All 6 of my incisions are closed up. I never had a drain put in. I have been on the go since post op day 3. Lol I have a 5 year old and she ended up with an ear infection. Sooo mommy didn't have time to be down! Grocery store and Walmart wore me out good today though.
  8. I'm 4'11.5. Started out at 275. Was sleeved 10/24 and down 20lbs this morning from pre op diet. So 3 weeks.
  9. I get to start the gym back the 10th. I'm so excited. I actually like working out when I'm motivated!
  10. Guess I should write it down what I've lost weekly. Didn't think of logging it that way. I lost about 7 pounds from pre op diet to surgery. Have lost 13 since the 24th. Which was my surgery day. So 20 total. I will start keeping weekly track now though.
  11. I am a 11 days post op and I'm down 20. From start of pre-op liquid diet. I'm averaging about a pound a day the past 3-4 days. Are u walking/exercising any?
  12. Yeah, I'm at a 1/4 cup limit on anything. Still took me 2 hours to finish my 11oz protein shake this morning. Ugh.
  13. I'm 1.5 weeks post op as well. I'm sorry u are having such a hard time, have u tried the premier protein shakes? The chocolate is about the only ones I can handle taste wise. U really need that protein. I can't drink plain water but Propel seems to be the answer. Still VERY rough getting ur required limit in. But also if ur getting dizzy it's fluctuation in ur BP most likely. Try some broths higher in sodium. At this point it helps a little bit to retain the fluid. Dehydration is the worst thing that can happen right now so sip sip sip all day long. Hang in there.
  14. A lot of ins. Has a weight loss requirement. Could be months. Did u call ur ins. Before hand to ask that stuff? I was lucky and medical weightloss was not required so my journey to surgery was much quicker. Good luck dear!
  15. I'm almost 2 weeks post op and I've eaten some phase 3 stuff already. So I cheated too ????
  16. Don't best yourself up. It happens. It is really hard. Just stay strong this week u will be fine
  17. You have to exercise. Find something that works for u with the problems with ur foot. Your body needs help pushing through the wall. Exercise is how u do that.
  18. Hi Grammy! I guess u had a lot of Fluid retention in the hospital! I'm not sore anymore, I walked my butt every hour. I didn't take any pain meds after I left the hospital. I am just like that. I have a high tolerance. I did have problems at night. sleeping was miserable and probably should have taken something to ease my uncomfortableness. I'm still tired, I sometimes think I'm superwoman and so too much. Then I'm beat. I have slept a lot (not good sleep) but I'm finally feeling a little more energy. It's EXTREMELY hard getting all ur fluid in. I am close everyday but never quite reach it. Just making the best choices I can. I'm pleased with the results so far, just wishing it would be phase 3 already! Glad we get to share our progress together! ❤️
  19. Taking in too much air when u are drinking ur fluids maybe?
  20. Start weight at preop liquid diet start: 273 Pre op after liquid diet: 265 1 week post op: 257 Day of Surgery pic! Can't wait to add my progress pics!
  21. Congrats on ur success so far! I started at 273. On Oct 9th. Surgery on Oct 23rd weighed in at 265. Today I weighed 256 very excited for this new journey!
  22. I only told my husband and my mother in law. I don't want to deal with people's negativity. I also had 2 hernias so it was my reason for surgery that everyone else got
