  1. thanks lucy =) i'll be as strong as i can & resist the "vacation foods"!!!
  2. hi- i'm leaving on vacation too; this friday and will return the following saturday. i've been repeating to myself everyday for the past week, "i will stick with my plan." in the past i would ALWAYS shrugg off the diets & exercising while on vacation.i know i will be following my gym routine for sure, i'm just hoping i can stay away from bad carbs!!!
  3. some people are REALLY ingnorant! does she really expect to see results if she doesn't do her part???!!! what a moron... (sorry, stuff like that bothers me)
  4. you go girl, 199 is an exciting number :tongue_smilie:
  5. way to go!! you can totally tell!!!! congrats!!!!
  6. well, since the begining of july, i started going more frequently to the gym...i used to walk at the park OR go to the gym. i'm now feeling back to normal. i can walk a little more than two miles in 40minutes. that's progress for me! i couldn't even do those miles in 40 minutes! what's cool too is my breathing is back to normal; no more having to stop the routine.
  7. ok, so yes, i'm still in the "honeymoon" phase with my band. BUT i love this new way of life!! i never thought i'd see these scale numbers ever again. my band is the tool that was missing from my equation. everything so far has been pretty easy to adjust to; just took some days to get used to certain things, but all wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be. this is the best thing i could have ever done for myself...
  8. well, we're all so different. dh and i waited for one week, most postitions were great...but a couple were not. just try it, and if you feel any discomfort, stop, and try something else. you really should ask your doc, just ask about sex in general, you don't have to get into details.
  9. i like to keep my stats in my signature...that explains my ticker in a nutshell :biggrin2:
  10. eeek.. i would stay away from the evil pizza, lol. but that's just me.
  11. michelle, those numbers are terrific!!!! HAPPY EARLY B-DAY TOO!! as for me, the scales are down, i had to re-weigh myself in disbelief this morning. i'm down three pounds. :tt1::w00t::tt1: i just need to stick to my plan closely...i'll be leaving on vacay in a week, and oh Lordy, i hope i can stick with it!!
  12. ...when you're constantly weighing yourself to see if you can update a weight loss ticker.
  13. the scales and i are in harmony:laugh:i'm down 3lbs. this thread is keeping me on track!! LOVE IT!
  14. BREAD :cursing: i thought i could be one of the lucky ones and enjoy an occasional bite or two and chew chew chew chew, but NO...stuckage galore!
  15. hey bandded- don't be frustrated. you just barely started this journey. wait 'till you get your fills & hit your sweet spot, you'll be doing even better, you even have a head start with your weight loss so far. just be a little patient, i'm pretty sure you didn't gain over night, lol . it will be the same thing with the weight loss, it won't melt away over night... though I WISH!!!!!
  16. wow hollandsmom!!! you're doing amazing! i can't wait to be at my half way point ...way to go!
  17. mine includes pre-op weight loss. i was weighing my highest last november and that's when i knew i was going to have wls. so i tried to get a little jump start. i've lost 20lbs since surgery day, but let me tell you, its been hard. the scale and i are battling each other!!! but, i haven't had a fill as of yet, which i really need. but who know's maybe that ONE fill won't even do the trick. i know on average it takes 2-3 fills to hit your sweet spot. you're probably just on a plateau right now. you'll start dropping soon enough:wink2:
  18. thanks mamto & msnika =) okay, so last night i fell off a little bit. >_< i made dh some oven roasted chicken, cesear salad, and.... dare i say it, mac & cheese. i know, i know! i was tired and really didn't feel like making another real side dish, so i made the mac! i wasn't hungry at all, but i guess bad habits die hard. i had two spoonfuls of mac & cheese. my scale went up this morning....arggg!!
  19. cajun, that's the best thing you can do. day by day is, IMO, way better than seeing the whole entire thing; i think it helps us stay motivated in pushing on. take baby steps, and sooner or later when you turn around, you'll see you've come a l-o-n-g way!
  20. Ticker TUTORIAL (WITH PICTURES!) click on that link...it helps since it has the pics
  21. ...when you leave a trail of empty bottles of water every where because you're saving them to refill later and are constantly getting remarks from loved ones like, "why don't you throw away all those bottles in your car?" "gosh you have a lot of bottles." blah,blah,blah...
  22. hi all- i hope you don't mind me jumping in. i've been peeking in here from time to time. i started my low carb diet two weeks ago (it was a little hard). i'm now into week three, and i must say, its getting easier.
  23. hey dolphin, i'm sorry you're plateau-ing right now, but you hang in there! let us know how tomorrow's fill goes
  24. tough love my friend....that's what you need. get your booty moving, get in daily exercising. you must follow some sort of diet, please watch your calories do something!!! i'd be bummed if seven months go by and i haven't lost anything. but at least you can turn all that around today! we're all rootin' for you!!!
