  1. I am MUCH older than you, so I expected saggy skin. Is it disappointing to me, yes. What balances that out is the sheer joy of seeing those numbers slide down on the scale. I hope that you make a decision based on your future health, saggy skin can always be dealt with.
  2. What fun discoveries Miss Mac! Good for you.
  3. Successful surgeries and speedy recoveries to you all!
  4. Quite a significant NSV, good for you!
  5. I am down 37 pounds, 27 since surgery on 2/3/2015. I am really amazed at how well I've adjusted so far to the tiny tummy.
  6. Wow, you are looking great!
  7. I was allowed lettuce, spinach after two months. I cannot have celery or anything with seeds, membranes, skins or nuts until three months out. Your WLS team will have their own specific timetable.
  8. You are doing well! You'll find many people to converse with on this forum, welcome.
  9. Good luck, it is quite the journey! April 23rd will be here before you know it.
  10. I weigh myself daily, and there are definitely days when I am up a pound or so from the previous day. Sometimes that is discouraging, because I think I should be down. I have learned from all the "experienced" posters on this sight to just trust that following the program and getting my exercise will produce weight loss. Don't get discouraged, this will work!
  11. How inspiring! This posting is just what those of us who've recently had surgery need to see. Thanks for the picture, very motivating.
  12. @@Babbs I thoroughly enjoyed that clip. Thanks for the link! So very clever and humorous.
  13. @@LipstickLady Oh my, you addressed some of my personal pet peeves. One I see almost every day on here is the misuse of lose/loose, however, I try as you do to look past these mistakes and remind myself that it's the content that counts.
  14. I had pretty bad eczema for about 30 years. My dermatologist and I tried many products. Clobetasol ointment seemed to work the best, however, there were times even that wasn't much help. I never had complete relief from symptoms. What finally cleared it up and I mean completely- was retiring from teaching. I think it was the stress. Anyway I haven't had any symptoms for two years now. Maybe losing weight will result in less stress for your body( my surgery was only two months ago) and that might help keep the eczema from flaring up?
  15. You look fantastic! Thanks for sharing your pictures, well done.
  16. You have done so well! You look happy and healthy, congratulations.
  17. Good luck tomorrow. I hope you have an uncomplicated recovery.
  18. Perhaps this time you are ready. This is a life changing (for the better) experience. I hope you are able to convince your surgeon of your resolve to follow through.
  19. Welcome, I look forward to seeing your posts in the forum.
  20. I like the Premier ready to drink protein shakes- chocolate.
  21. Hello @@smile4unga, sounds like you are doing well, congratulations on your 52 pound weight loss!
  22. Sorry to hear of your depression, RJ,s/beginning. I don't want to make this simplistic but winter for those of us that live in the north can be very depressing. I do not suffer from clinical depression (not yet anyway) however, I find winter to be very challenging. I hope your new med.'s and a change of season will bring you some relief.
  23. I hope you have a successful surgery and an uncomplicated recovery! Good luck you are almost there.
