Pretty fantastic NSV's
@ oh I know I've been covering for years! I still haven't showed my bare legs or anything "drastic" like that. I'm still a work in progress but I'm thrilled with the progress so far! It's exciting!

Pretty fantastic NSV's
I have a few NSV's to share! First, I started back to school Tuesday and I did NOT wear scrubs to school! (If you read one of my last trending post you will understand that) I actually went clothes shopping and bought some real school clothes including a size 8 in jeans!! Also, for the last two days in class I didn't wear a jacket, I didn't even bring one which is astonishing even to me because I ALWAYS have something to cover up with. Jackets are something of a security blanket to cover arms, stomach, any back fat I may have had (imaginary or not). It's a wonderful feeling to not feel self-concious while in the seated position. I can focus on my instructor instead of worrying if everything's covered and not poking out. Lastly while at Walgreens one of the lady's who works there came up to me and my daughter and said " I hope this doesn't sound rude but aren't you like half the size you use to be?" I just laughted and said yes I am, thank you! Then on the way home I started thinking dang how fat was I that the lady at Walgreens took notice Still pretty sweet NSV's if you ask me! Oh and I'm finally (34 years into life) getting braces! It's amazing how much you want to improve yourself even more when you feel good about yourself!

1 week post op gastric sleeve
Don't worry once the swelling in your stomach goes down from being cut on it will get easier. You have a tiny tube of a stomach that is also swollen up to boot. Imagine what that must look like on the inside.

18 days post op
Your not doing anything wrong 2.5 lbs a week is a lot and you may slow down even more? If you lost that every week for a year you would lose 130lbs in one year. Everyone wants immediate results but this surgery doesn't guarantee anything. It takes time. Stay off the scale if it's going to upset you. Your not gaining and losing so that's good. If you keep your calories too low you will put your metabolism into starvation mode and eventually you will stop losing. Our bodies use that as a survival mechanism to keep us from dying of starvation. Your doing great!

Cold more often ?
@@MrsKarenC2008 That's a normal side effect of weigh loss surgery, your not crazy! In short it caused because your subcutaneous fat layer is thinning out (the layer of fat just under the skin that keeps you warm) your thermo regulators are thrown off. I tried to break it down in easy terms. Hope that helps!

severe pain when getting out of bed & pain meds
@@ForLfKlovr Mine was painful like that so I have them up my pain meds. A belly binder can be a life saver! You can usually find them at Walgreens and Walmart. That will hold your stomach in so it doesn't feel like your insides are ripping out when you turn and walk. Sorry I feel your pain. I've been there!!

For fat loss, low-fat diets beat low-carb diets handily, new research finds
@@her1981 Mine stays pretty low fat because unlike a regular low carb diet that says eat whatever meats you want I stick to the lean meats, chicken, turkey, Seafood ect... Once I eat a lower fat protein and a couple bites of a vegetable (green) I'm done. That keeps the fat content on the lower side. I also still drink a ready made shake for one of my meals at least once a day. Usually breakfast. I'd say the most fat I ever get in a day is from nuts or avocado and they are both healthy fats.
