  1. Just move as much as you can, take your meds and vitamins and fluids. You will get there!
  2. You are right, she should be ashamed. Calm down a bit and make sure you tell her how hurt you are and how betrayed you feel. Please don't let this sabotage your progress. And don't ever let her hurt you again! Good luck
  3. I honestly would, to be able to sleep at night and breathe easy, to have energy! Sure, but the weight loss is also a symptom of a healthy mindset which comes as a result of making this decision.
  4. Walk as much as you can, it will help to dissipate the gas! Good luck!
  5. It does get better and you will be glad you made this decision!
  6. I wasn't allowed protein shakes after the second week.
  7. I am so sorry this is happening to you! And that your surgeon has no compassion, what s jerk! I will say this though, I don't think most doctors prescribe gall bladder medication. My doctor said it isn't really proven effective. Please try not to let this hamper your weight loss, hopefully you will find it worth the trouble in the end!
  8. The nutrients still are absorbed into the blood. It just doesn't stay long in your stomach.
  9. I may also add that I left the hospital with no pain meds. It is my doctors practice to not prescribe pain meds, he says that if you need them, you should stay in the hospital.
  10. I was in the hospital for two days and returned to work in a week. I planned to take 2 weeks, but I felt really good, so I went back early
  11. The next time you see your surgeon, you should get your bloodwork done, you may be low in iron and or other vitamins and miberals
  12. Your pouch is actually pretty hard to stretch and impossible to stretch with liquids and soft food, it oozes out from the bottom into your intestines. This is probably why you aren't feeling over full either.
  13. I think it is fine as long as it isn't before or after eating. I, personally can't drink carbonated anything. It really bothers my stomach!
  14. I take Biotin, which helps with hair and nails. I am 3 months postop and habent had any problems!
  15. Should be 300-400 calories per day!
  16. I would spend some time every day walking. It shouldn't affect your shoulder too much and it will certainly speed up your metabolism!
  17. Hi! To be honest, it sounds more like you don't want to have the surgery than like you are having doubts. I would recommend you stop perusing the surgery option until you are at a point in your life where it will work for you. Good luck and thank you for your honesty!
  18. I had the same problem with grits. You almost have to make them so stiff, which may not be good for you right now.
  19. Keep on doing what you are supposed to be doing! It isn't unusual, most people have this happen at some point!
  20. I take Bariatric Advantage chewable multi. I like it!
  21. I LOVE my treadmill! I try to make it a commitment to do something every single day. Even if it is only 10 minutes, it usually works out that I do a whole work out and feel so much better. I will say this though, I really do not appreciate it when my husband "insists" that I go work out! I don't like being "managed"!
  22. I was told it was the cardinal sin of Bariatric surgery, by my surgeon. As it pushes the good through your stomach allowing you to become hungrier sooner. It really defeats the purpose of having the surgery in the first place.
  23. Hysterical! - about the man falling off his bike!
  24. I would report them to the management!
