Nails splitting

I am 9 weeks post-op and am finding that my fingernails are splitting and breaking. Any ideas or solutions?

I take Biotin, which helps with hair and nails. I am 3 months postop and habent had any problems!

I also suggest taking Biotin. Especially for your hair as it will start to thin a bit (or it possibly could).

I have been experiencing loss of hair and cracking nails. The hair loss is much more significant than the nail issue. I started taking Biotin about two weeks ago.

The way I understand this works is that it does not stop the hair loss but helps with regrowth and healthy hair, skin and nails.

The good news is I am Italian and was blessed with a very think head of hair. It does not come out in patches but falls out from everywhere so no bald spots.

I had plenty to lose to begin with but hope it stops soon, just because it freaks me out a little.

Good luck!

Just the opposite for me, my nails have never been healthier and I am not even able to get in my vitamins, or calcium.

Biotin works wonders for my hair and nails.

Searched up this thread because I'm experiencing brittle nails more so than I ever did pre-surgery. I'll have to try Biotin I guess.

I'm already bald so no clue how it's effecting my hair. :)
