So awesome to hear about your improvements!! And super freaking cool that you have the empirical measure!
The act of losing weight (mobilizing and shrinking fat cells) is amazingly powerful. I was diagnosed with polycistic ovarian syndrome back in 2005 (but I'd say symptomatic since 2001). The condition was in full swing while my weight steadily increased. I had it even when I weighed well under 200. By my 3-month follow-up appointment after surgery, my numbers were completely normal. Even though I weighed 207, it was the losing 47 that made the difference.
@@Robert Christopherson - Here's a piece about the benefits: http://www.collective-evolution.com/2014/06/02/12-reasons-why-apple-cider-vinegar-will-revolutionize-your-health/, and the excerpt re. immunity:
    3. Prevent Candida and Normalize Intestinal Bacteria
ACV is full of beneficial acids which are believed to help improve the make up of your intestinal flora. These include acetic acid and malic acid, which have antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties and can help control the spread of the candida fungus in your intestines, a common debhilitating problem with many people’s high sugar diets.
    4. Strengthen Your Immune System
Your intestinal flora are a big part of your body’s immune system. It makes sense then that improving the conditions for the growth of friendly bacteria with apple cider vinegar can help improve your overall immunity.
The malic acid in ACV is also a strong antiviral, perhaps one of the reasons people often say they experience fewer colds when they take apple cider vinegar in Water daily.
Additionally, raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar is said to benefit your lymphatic system by helping to cleanse lymph nodes and break up mucus in the body. Over time this can relieve sinus congestion, reduce colds and alleviate allergies.

Sooo very disrespectful, not only to the deceased, but to the family of the deceased as well. This person was someone's son, and probably was also a brother, father, cousin, uncle, etc. How cruel to publicly & intentionally blame him.

I'm tentatively on the schedule for 11/4 but because I'm still trying to finalize everything (insurance approval, wear the C-pap for 2 weeks, and lose the rest of my pre-op goal), it might not happen until January. I'm giving it everything I've got, though!

It's weird how different dr's progress people on their eating schedule. I was on full liquids until 21 days, so 23 days total including pre-op. Then I was allowed to try eggs at 22 day mark post-op. I am not allowed to try chicken until 4 weeks. A friend had this done.. and she was able to progress food-wise much quicker also. Best of luck, hope all goes well

I will be 8 weeks this Wed. In my experience, I was pretty obsessed with food and hydration the first few weeks, and I think that is pretty much a necessity. But as you get further out, your attitudes will change and you will develop a different relationship with food. There is no overeating or eating the wrong things (unless you really enjoy getting very sick ). It's behavior modification to the max. I now see food as fuel. I eat when my body tells me to and I eat small amounts because it's what makes me feel best... cheese, nuts, turkey, eggs mostly. I see an ad for a big hamburger and it repulses me. I expect most here will tell you the same thing. You are starting a brand new life. Just hang on through the rough ride at first. Then it's going to be great.

Oh, man! The panic/anxiety/self doubt is really amplified tonight! Tomorrow is clear liquids and Monday is show time, and I'm second guessing my decision--I know I can't back out, and yet I'm scared that once it's done, it's done. What if I fail? What if there are complications? What if this is the wrong decision and I'm not prepared for the emotional journey that follows? What if I have a lot of excess skin? What if my husband is disappointed in the 'new me'? AHHHH! I have to stop, be still, and give it up to God....I know that, and yet all of these irrational thoughts keep creeping in! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I started with a size 62 and today I am in a 33. If it wasn't for all this loose skin I have to squeeze I could probably be in in 32 - 30. 310lbs later loose skin is getting to be an issue.

Hey, I'm a guy and I've been married for almost 30 years with no kids. Some men can just be uncaring dogs. Never once have I cheated and if I ever had the slightest thought about cheating then as far as I'm concerned, this relationship would be over. Both of us work and are totally capable of paying our own ways in life. We've always agreed to never hold each other back in our lives and we would never put the other through the heartbreak of cheating (besides, my wife is a better shot than I am). My father cheated on my mother many times through the years and she took him back "for the sake of the kids". What a mistake that was. They finally got divorced when I was 16 years old.
Sure, you can go get counseling and everything might be okay. But the fact that he got caught (not that he screwed up) will always hang over his head. He will always think that you have one over him that you will never forget and always hold against him (which you would).
If you haven't done it already, you'd better figure out how you can be fully self sufficient. And then you should start acting like it. Your kids are basically grown and ready to strike out on their own (or they should be). It's your choice at this point, stay with him hoping he's faithful or continue the path you've already started with the massive weight loss and start a totally new life. Your kids ain't gonna think anything less of you since they already know their father is a cheating ****** bag.
BTW- I can't believe the b***h had the nerve to contact your kids on FB. For what reason?

Robert Christopherson reacted to Luvin_Life125 in Anyone take methadone for chronic pain
Hi there. I have disabling chronic low back pain with pain radiating into both legs. I have been prescribed many narcotics and different combinations of the meds trying to find a medication plan that works for the pain while minimizing side effects. I was prescribed methadone 5mg twice a day in addition to my other pain medicines. Since starting the methadone I can barely keep my eyes open. When I am awake I doze off constantly no matter what I am doing. I have dozed off during lunch, in the middle of a conversation, taking a shower, etc. Has anyone else used methadone and have you had this kind of fatigue? Did

Robert Christopherson reacted to VSG_lauren in I wasn't completely prepared....
I am all about educating myself on as much as I can... Deciding to have the VSG was no different. I did tons of research. I read medical journals and studies as well as personal experiences posted by others who were already post op. I had my VSG done on 9/22/14. I know I'm only about 2.5 weeks post op.. But I wasn't prepared for the fatigue that comes with the process. I can hardly eat and the weight I've lost isn't exciting because it just feels like medically induced starvation. I pray to God that I get done balance soon. I don't feel healthy..pre-op I was a healthy obese person. I want so badly to just have balance again. I hope that 6 months from now I too can say this was the best decision that I ever made. My advice to pre-op patients is to understand that the first month post op is hard. The surgery is easy in comparison to the extreme fatigue many patients go through post-op.

I don't think all meds have to be taken crushed or liquid form - I started back on my tablets (of which I take several prescription tabs, one large) day after surgery. One at a time and v slowly but 7 months out I've never once had a problem.
